Introduction
This is unlike any other book I have written to-date. For some, this
will be incredibly controversial, especially within certain Jewish groups
that are more traditional in their practices. I will get a ton of hate mail
for this book, in fact, I may even get death threats because the usage
of Tefillin that I will recommend will be sacrilege to many people, but
also a liberation to some as well. This is okay, because it is my job in
this world to provide my readers with magick that works. If
Religionists don’t like it, they don’t have to read this book. Many may
not be able to perform this magick since they do not have access to
Tefillin; that is okay, I will provide resources. I acknowledge that this
is certainly a niche topic, of that I am certain. It may not appeal to all
my readers, but I know they will understand why I am writing it and
that I have a very good reason for doing so.
In this book I will cover.
What Tefillin is
The various types of Tefillin
Why Women and non-Jews should Use Tefillin
The Mystical Power of Tefillin
How to tie the Tefillin
What you will need for Tefillin magick
Opening prayers for ritual usage
I will also cover several rituals such as:
Calling forth Adonai, Lord of Hosts for protection
5 rituals calling forth the archangels for whatever purpose you desire.
2 Rituals calling Forth Demons of the Kabbalah for Magickal
Purposes
Binding Ones Soul with the name of God
I realize this book may not be for everyone, but it might be for you.
Why I Am Writing This Book
As I stated in the introduction, this is not like any of the other books I
have written. It’s a risky move for me to write this because of the
dust it will kick up in the Jewish community. Nonetheless, I feel it is of
the utmost importance to get this out.
Judaism is a patriarchal and dogmatic religion, few of us would
disagree with that assessment. It is, of course, not unlike the other
pillars of western religion, mainly Islam and now to a lesser degree
Christianity. All three have an extensively developed and strict dogma.
In the Jewish tradition, when a boy turns thirteen, he is considered for
all intents and purposes, a man. As part of his initiation, he is required
to perform a very specific ritual that only men perform and that is the
wearing or “donning” of Tefillin. This religious practice is one of the
bedrocks of Judaism. It is by far one of the most spiritual and most
symbolic practices in all of Judaism. Only men can perform this and
only within certain circumstances.
In this book, I will illustrate not only what Tefillin is, but how it can be
used for rituals and why I feel women should be donning it as well in
context of ritual. This last two statements is what will get me trouble.
Tefillin is considered a religious rite and to use it for magickal
proposes would be considered sacrilege. We will smash religious
dogma in this book.
So why am I writing this book? I have been thinking about this for a
very long time, years in fact. I grew up in a diverse household, my
father’s side had a mixture of Israeli and Arab elements, both Jewish
and Muslim. I recall many in my family use the Tefillin in their morning
prayers. In fact, I too have used it quite a bit in my early days as
well. I was always struck by how powerfully spiritual this practice
was. The ritual was not only a spiritual and mental exercise but it was
a physical one as well. You are literally binding God to you …tightly I
Might add. When one dons Tefillin, they are, according to Kabbalistic
texts, in a very holy space, almost a kind of parallel universe. Angels
surround the person who dons the Tefillin, the very act alone is
considered holy. I used to conduct special Kabbalistic meditations at
a very young age using the Tefillin and it had a very profound effect
on me.
As I matured in my spirituality and encountered magick on a deeper
level, I wondered why Tefillin was not used in Magick. Yes, sure it
was used in Kabbalah, but what about candle magick? What about
magick for specific things? Tefillin was always part of the morning
prayers, and Torah study but never magick. I decided to take it upon
myself to practice magick with it. I admit, I was hesitant, I still had a
lot of that “religious” fear in me. The fear that God would strike me
down if I took a holy Religious activity and adapted it to magick, a
magick God considered “evil.” I took the leap and found liberation
when I performed this act of “sacrilege.” I didn’t perform it out of
anger for religion, most people perform sacrilegious acts because
they are “angry” at God. FYI, God doesn’t care about those things,
you care about it much more and in the end you are wasting your
time.
So, I used Tefillin several times and found it to be so powerful,
especially with rituals involving Angels and Demons. In this book I will
include a few.
I also found it strange that Jewish Law is hesitant to let women don
Tefillin; I thought that it was a ridiculous rule. I feel in my soul that
every person, of every creed, of every sexual orientation, of every
gender identity should be able to work with Tefillin and it is for this
reason I am writing this book. I realize not all of you will want to do
this and that is okay, but I would not be doing my job on this spinning
rock if I didn’t at least present this to you as a potential addition to
your magickal practice.
With that said, I will now go into the background of what Tefillin is and
how we can use it to enhance our magick.
What is Tefillin?
Tefillin also known as phylacteries is a foundation religious rite in
Judaism. The ritual requires that two small boxes be placed on your
person. One on the head and one on the arm. They are held in place
by leather straps.
As I mentioned in earlier, for the most part, Jewish boys, when they
turn 13 are required to wear them during morning prayers, 6 days a
week, excluding Saturdays.
The whole concept of the Tefillin is gleaned from Deuteronomy 6:5-9.
It states:
“Love the Lord your God with all your heart, all your being, and all
your might. These words that I am commanding you today must
always be on your minds. Recite them to your children. Talk about
them when you are sitting around your house and when you are out
and about, when you are lying down and when you are getting up. Tie
them on your hand as a sign. They should be on your forehead as a
symbol. Write them on your house’s doorframes and on your city’s
gates.”
At the outset, this looks more like a figurative statement, one simply
stating that you should remember God. However, ancient Rabbis
declared that this should be taken literally. Thus you will find in the
Talmud, the oral tradition of Judaism specific rules as to how Tefillin
should be made and its usage. So the verses “Tie them on your hand
as a sign” and “They should be on your forehead as a symbol”
became the actual Tefillin object itself.
Since these rabbis were somewhat obsessive, they created a whole
industry and craft around Tefillin. Customs started to develop. Now
Tefillin had to be worn in a special way, the leather needs to be a
certain variety, the parchments within them need to be written by only
those skilled to do so. It’s a big deal.
The two boxes that comprise the Tefillin have compartments within
them. Each compartment contains a passage from the Torah.
These passages mention the commandment to wear Tefillin and are
the following 4 verses. Deuteronomy 6:4-8, Deuteronomy 11:13-21,
Exodus 13:1-10 and Exodus 13:11-16. Let us read excerpts of these
passages:
Deuteronomy 6:4-8: “Hear O Israel, the Lord is our God, the Lord is
One! You shall love the Lord your God with all your heart, with all
your soul and with all your might…These words that I am
commanding you today must always be on your minds…Tie them on
your hand as a sign. They should be on your forehead as a symbol.”
Deuteronomy 11:13-21: “If you completely obey God’s
commandments…by loving the Lord your God and by serving him
with all your heart and all your being, then God will provide rain for
your land at the right time… But watch yourselves! Otherwise, your
heart might be led astray…Place these words…on your heart and in
your very being. Tie them on your hand as a sign. They should be on
your forehead as a symbol.”
Exodus 13:1-10: “The Lord said to Moses: Dedicate to me all your
oldest children. Each first offspring from any Israelite womb belongs
to me, whether human or animal…Moses said to the people,
‘Remember this day which is the day that you came out of Egypt, out
of the place you were slaves, because the Lord acted with power to
bring you out of there’…You should explain to your child…, ‘It’s
because of what the Lord did for me when I came out of Egypt.’ It
will be a sign on your hand and a reminder on your forehead so that
you will often discuss the Lord’s instruction, for the Lord brought you
out of Egypt with great power.”
Exodus 13:11-16: “When the Lord brings you into the land of the
Canaanites and gives it to you as promised to you and your
ancestors, you should set aside for the Lord whatever comes out of
the womb first. All of the first males born to your animal belong to the
Lord…When in the future your child asks you, ‘What does this mean?’
you should answer, ‘The Lord brought us with great power out of
Egypt, out of the place we were slaves. When Pharaoh refused to let
us go, the Lord killed all the oldest offspring in the land of Egypt, from
the oldest sons to the oldest male animals. That is why I offer to the
Lord as a sacrifice every male that first comes out of the womb. But I
ransom my oldest sons.’ It will be a sign on your hand and a symbol
on your forehead that the lord brought us out of Egypt with great
power.”

As simple as this may sound, the act of donning the Tefillin and its
symbolic meaning is very powerful. Before we go into that however,
let us discuss a few other matters that I feel are pertinent before we
get to the magick.
The Various Types of Tefillin
As I stated in the previous chapter, a whole industry has sprung up
from the ritual of Tefillin. Not only that, various different types of
Tefillin emerged. Although one Tefillin tradition is used by 99% of
Jews, it is important to know that there are others out there.
Here are just a few descriptive terms:
Tefillin Peshutim Mehudarim:
The name of this Tefillin can be translated roughly as “superior simple
design.” The two boxes are made out of a single piece of leather as
is required. When finished, they look like the regular higher end kind
but are not as sturdy and durable.
Tefillin Dakkot:
In Hebrew the word “Dakkot” means thin. These Tefillin are made by
stretching a thin layer of parchment over a structural base, thus
forming the entire box of the Tefillin. This is technically the right way
to do it. These are good Tefillin, the only problem is because they are
so thin, the parchment will quickly wear out and a new parchment will
need to be placed in its stead. If the parchment is even slightly off in
terms of the wording and quality the Tefillin is considered invalid.
Tefillin Gassot:
The word Gassot in Hebrew means thick or course. The leather used
for this is derived form the cheeks and neck of a cow. It means the
Tefillin itself is sturdier and can last a life time with little wear and
tear.
The above are mostly descriptive in nature and do not shed light on
tradition. Now we will discuss some of the Tefillin types according to
tradition and custom. As I previously stated, there are various
traditions surrounding this rite, we will discuss the 2 most popular.
Like all religions, nothing is ever cut and dry. We don’t have one
custom surrounding anything. There are always multiple views and
customs. On the surface this is very good, it adds a dynamism to a
religion, but it also has its downsides. Each group thinks theirs is the
right way. Or worst still, each group thinks they are the purest and
most righteous. In Judaism, the Yemenite Jews think they are the
purest and therefore everyone else is inferior. The Moroccan Jews
feel the same way about themselves. The European Jews think this
way as well and have even gone as far as to not except Ethiopian
Jews into the fold since they did not consider them Jewish or rather
they questioned their Jewish status.
YET, they allowed for the Russian Jews to come in without having to
convert and they too had very little proof of being Jewish, in fact, it
was discovered that many Russian “Jews “weren’t even Jewish, they
just said they were Jewish to escape Communist Russia. Yet, they
were accepted as being Jewish and Ethiopians were not.
Was this a form of racism? Absolutely!
I will give you a personal example. My father’s mother was a
Yemenite Jew and thus my father too had a very dark complexion like
she did; in Israel he would be considered Yemenite, but here in the
United States he could have passed for Dominican and perhaps even
Caribbean. I recall once we went to Brooklyn to see the Rabbi
Lubavitch or Lubavicher Rebbe as he was more popularly known. At
the time, he was dispensing dollars bills as a blessing. These events
were a big deal, thousands upon thousands of people would show up
every Sunday. So, we got to Brooklyn and we needed directions. We
stopped to ask a few religious Jews who were of European descent
as to where the Rabbis synagogue was. The first thing they asked
my father, looking suspiciously at him” You are Jewish?” When he
answered yes, they were astonished, it was as if he was an alien, not
just from another planet, but from another galaxy far far away. In
many ways he was, certain Jewish neighborhoods are very isolated
from the outside world, they may not even have known any better.
That stuck with me, even until this day. It was as if they couldn’t
imagine Jews being anything else but lily white.
Racism, bigotry and prejudice are just as prevalent in Judaism as in
other religions and in some ways even more so. One of Judaism’s
core ideas is of divine election, God made them the “chosen ones.”
This idea will, by default, will have exclusionary views towards others
who are not part of the same tribe. This book, however, is not meant
to tackle this complex issue but there is A LOT to discuss there. The
differences I will illustrate in this book pale in comparison to those
above, but I just wanted to illustrate that Judaism is also fractured
with the same divisions other religions have.
My apologies for my digression, if you have read my other books you
know I am quite fond of digressing. Ok, back to our original topic.
In the middle ages, more specially the 11th century, a debate ensued
which to us, would seem rather petty. At the time. However, it was
considered very serious. The debate revolved around the order in
which the various biblical verses are to be organized within the Tefillin
boxes. The debate was between Rabbi Solomon ben Yizhak, most
famously known as RASHI and his grandson Rabbenu Tam.
According to Rashi the order is, starting from the right of the one
facing the wearer, that the sections should be organized based on
how they appear in the Torah. For example: (1) Exodus 13:1-10, (2)
Exodus 13:11-16, (3) Deuteronomy 6:4-9, and (4) Deuteronomy
11:13-21.
According to Rabbenu Tam section 3 is placed after 4 so that 3 which
contains the main verse is on the outside, namely, the extreme left of
the one facing the wearer. All this is considered very serious because
in the Talmud, if the verses are not ordered correctly, the Tefillin is
considered invalid or “passol” in Hebrew. In light of this, Rashi’s
Tefillin are invalid according to Rabbenu Tam and Rabbenu Tam’s
invalid according to Rashi.
For the most part, Rashi’s rendition is what most people follow.
However, there are those who are especially devote and wear both
sets just to make sure. Sometimes they wear them together while
others put the Rashi on first and then Rabbenu Tam’s towards the
end of the morning prayers.
As an interesting side note, at the site of Qumran where they found
the Dead Sea Scrolls, it was discovered that the community there
also discussed the proper order of the verses and it was found they
followed both practices way before Rashi and Rabbenu Tam were a
glimmer in Yahweh’s eyes. It just goes to show you that this debate
raged on for millennia.
Here is a picture of what the Scrolls in the Tefillin Look like:
Why Women and non-Jews should Use Tefillin
This is just one of several chapters that will get me into hot water with
those in the Jewish community that want to stick to a strict tradition.
Again, that is okay, I have come to accept that my work will be
unsettling for some people.
In this chapter we will discuss why I think it is important for women
and non-Jews to don Tefillin during rituals. But first, let us discuss
some of the laws that dissuade women from wearing Tefillin. We will
of course not be adhering to these laws.
According to the Mishnah (Jewish Oral Tradition) women are not
required to wear Tefillin. ---Mishnah – Brachot 3:3. It goes on to say
that women, slaves and minors are not only exempt from Tefillin but
also from the most important prayer in Judaism, the SHEMA. The
Mishnah goes on to explain that the reason women are exempt is
because the act of Tefillin is a time-bound ritual, meaning that it is a
required ritual that only takes place at a specific time of day. As with
everything in Judaism, there are other reasons. These other reasons
are found in the Jerusalem Talmud, which plays second fiddle to the
Babylonian Talmud, but this is not the place for that discussion either.
The Jerusalem Talmud in Brachot 2:3 quotes Deuteronomy 11:19
where it states “And Ye Shall teach them to your children…” at the
outset, this doesn’t seem to preclude girls, but in Hebrew the word
for children is “BENY-CHEM”. Technically the word BENY-CHEM
means “sons.” It is hard to glean this from the English translation. So
the reasoning goes that only boys and men are required to learn and
thus this precludes women from the Tefillin.
It gets better though.
In a religious text called Mechilta of Rabbi Ishmael (Pasḥa 17), a
book that contains not only laws but moral and religious teachings,
takes it a step further. It states” ‘So that the Torah of the Lord be in
your mouth’ (Exod. 13:9). Why was this said? Because it says (ibid):
‘This should be a sign [upon your arm].’ I would have assumed that
women are included, and this would make sense since mezuzah is a
positive commandment and Tefillin is a positive commandment, if we
assume that women part of the mitzvah of mezuzah shouldn’t we
assume that women are also part of the mitzvah of Tefillin? Thus the
verse comes to teach us, ‘so that the Torah of the Lord be in your
mouth,’ I am only referring to someone who is obligated in learning
Torah. From here they said: “All are obligated in Tefillin except for
women and slaves.”
It’s interesting that women and slaves are on the same level in this
regard. This is clearly a throwback to a much more patriarchal
ideology.
A perfect example of patriarchal ideas comes from The Talmud yet
again in Eruvin 96A. It states “It would seem that the explanation for
the position that women are not permitted [to wear Tefillin] is because
Tefillin require a guf naqi ( CLEAN BODY) and women are not
zealous enough to be careful about this.”
Yes, you read and heard that right. Oh but it gets even worse. A
rabbi by the name of Yom Tov ben Avraham Asevilli better known as
“the Ritva” stated in his commentary on the Talmudic book Qiddushin
31a says “…because Tefillin require a guf naqi (clean body) …
women are not clean, they are not clean of body and they are not
clean of mind.”
I could go on but by God if I do, it might shed an unflattering light on
Judaism itself and I would hate to do that. As a side note, “clean of
body” was considered a reference to flatulence.
Here is some good news, there were are women who defied this
patriarchal edict.
In the Talmud there is mention that Michal, the daughter of King Saul
wore Tefillin. This was gleaned from a passage in the Talmud, Eruvin
96A, it states “Michal Daughter of Kushi wore Tefillin and the sages
didn’t protest”. This is an interesting passage because it states the
sages of the time had not taken issue with this. There seems to be a
glimmer of hope that perhaps it isn’t that bad after all, but no go.
Later an addendum was added to this passage and states that
perhaps the sages didn’t stop Michal, but as R. Hezekiah in the name
of R. Abahu said: “The Sages sent Jonah’s wife back and objected to
Michal bat Kushi.” So clearly they had an issue but they simply sent
someone else to object to Michal.
I wish this was the end of the matter but it is not. A Medieval rabbi
from Spain by the name of Shlomo ben Aderet better known as the
“RASHBA” (1235-1310) chimed in to seemingly contradict the above
addendum.
He states: "I agree with those who say that if they desire they can do
all such mitzvot and recite the blessings, on the basis of Michal bat
Shaul who used to wear Tefillin and they did not protest; indeed she
did so with the approval of the sages and by the nature of the matter
since she puts on Tefillin she blesses" (Teshuva 123).
No mention of Jonahs wife there. In fact it seems from the above the
Sages embraced Michal. So, yeah, It’s a bit of a mess.
Supposedly, the most well-known women who publicly wore Tefillin
are Rashi's daughters, (the same Rashi who debated with his
Grandson Rabbenu Tam as to how to properly place the scrolls in the
Tefillin.) Now, I am not sure if any one actually saw Rashi’s daughters
wear them, but the idea was popularized by a series of books by
Maggie Anton. The stories about Rashi's daughters first started to
circulate in the 18th century.
In the 18th century, the wife of famous kabbalist and Talmudist Chaim
ibn Attar also known as (Or Ha-Hayyim) was known to wear Tefillin.
Today there are several Jewish groups of the reform and
conservative varieties that allow women to wear Tefillin and I think
that is wonderful.
Now we will address whether a Non-Jew can wear Tefillin. Then I will
discuss why I think both women and Non-Jews should use Tefillin.
Non-Jews and Tefillin
Despite many peoples opposition to non-Jews wearing Tefillin,
Judaism itself doesn’t explicitly prohibit it. This Is in example when a
practice that is not the norm becomes a forbidden act. The great
philosopher and rabbi Rambam more popularly known as Maimonides
said in Hilchot Melachim one of several texts that provide commentary
on the Mishna states that non-Jews may not keep the Sabbath, but if
he wants to perform other mitzvot (Biblical deeds such as Tefillin) he
can do so. There is no valid reason why not - Hilchot Melachim 10: 9.
Now in saying that, some would say that although it is not specifically
prohibited of non-Jews to wear Tefillin, they do say that it would be a
waste of time and no merit will come of it. Shulchan Aruch (The code
of Jewish Law) (Orach Chaim 38:3). I of course do not believe that
and it appears Maimonides aka Rambam is with me on this. He
suggests in Hilchot Melachim 10: 9 that, in fact, Non-Jews who do
don Tefillin do get to participate in the biblical deed. They can’t
however, WRITE the scrolls that are within the Tefillin. As you can
see, there is a lot of back-and-forth about this. This reminds me of an
old Jewish joke that sums up the plight of Jewish opinion on all
matters. It goes something like this. “Ask two Jews, get three
opinions.”
Alright, that was a lot to discuss, but before we close this chapter I
would like to give my opinion as to why Women and Non-Jews should
Don Tefillin for rituals
First of all, the whole notion that women are not clean is ridiculous
and is considered to be a throwback from a patriarchal time. What is
even more ridiculous is that the “clean body or goof Naqi) is in
reference to flatulence and for Rabbis to think that women are
somehow less cognizant of passing gas is also a preposterous thing.
Just on that issue alone the prohibition or at least the unacceptability
of women donning Tefillin should be completely and utterly
discounted. Mind you the prohibition of passing gas while donning
Tefillin applies to men as well yet only women are considered the
unclean ones in this regard. This prohibition is absolutely ridiculous
and should be abolished post haste.
Secondly, the act of donning Tefillins is such a symbolic one that no
one should be denied its power. When we look at the Hebrew texts
that are within them, they speak of ‘tying the words of God on your
arm. And as a sign on your forehead” This act is a reminder that we
are always close to the divine, despite it being mostly a Jewish rite,
this is a rite for everyone. When you read the passages, what they
are saying is that we must all remember the miracles that the divine
has bestowed upon us. For Jews it is the exodus from Egypt, a
liberation they prayed for generations. By wearing the Tefillin during
rituals we are not only instantly protected spiritually and physically
from harm, it is also a reminder that spirit can help liberate us from
our own bondage. As the Hebrews needed to work to gain freedom,
they did so with the divine at their backs. Tefillin represents this very
thing and thus all of us should consider wearing them in ritual, it’s not
just for Jewish people.
In the next chapter, I will discuss the mystical aspects of the Tefillin.
After that I will discuss what you will need for Tefillin Magick and how
to put on the Tefillin and then, finally, we move on to the rituals. We
have a bit more to go, stay with me.
The Mystical Significance of Tefillin
As with most Jewish rituals, there is a deeper meaning behind them.
For some it is just a routine but for those who need to know the
deeper significance of rituals will not be disappointed. Judaism has an
incredibly deep mystical tradition; by far one of the most
comprehensive of the western religious traditions. This tradition is
usually referred to by its catch all name “Kabbalah.” The Kabbalah is
very complex, and this is certainly not the place for an elaborate
explanation, I will be creating a course on that in the near future.
However, in saying that, I will cover some of the more esoteric
aspects of the Tefillin, so you can get a taste of what you will be
immersing yourself in when you wear them in your rituals.
As I stated, the Tefillin is comprised of 2 boxes, one to be placed on
the forehead and one on the arm. These placements are not random,
aside from the bible stating where these signs must be placed, there
is a deep significance as to why it is on the arm and forehead.
It is no coincidence that the arm Tefillin is placed on the left arm. The
left arm is closest to the heart which is considered in all mystical
teachings as the seat of the soul. The Tefillin on the forehead rests
atop our eyes and brain. Together they bind our heart, mind and our
actions together as one in service of the divine. When you wear the
Tefillin you are instantly connecting your entire being to spirit and they
are acting as one.
But how does this work exactly? What is the spiritual mechanism
involved in this unification and cleaving to the divine? To understand
this, we need to understand how the universe is constructed and how
energy passes through it from the Kabbalistic perspective.
The energy of the universe and its very existence is explained in the
Kabbalah through a concept called the Tree of Life and within this
tree there are 10 (alternatively 11) spheres of emanations, each
sphere contains a power center in which all aspects of the universe
emerge. They are more popularly known as the Ten Sephirot to those
who study Kabbalah. It looks something like this:
http://www.baalkadmon.com/tree
Let me quickly explain them in context of this book.
To reiterate, the 10 Sephirot is the infrastructure the divine uses to
send energy into the world and out of the world. Each emanation is a
standalone unit but is also contained with a grouping of emanations.
We have the first 3 which represent the three levels of the Intellect
and the subsequent 7 are emotional attributes. The one in the
shadows “Daath” is knowledge and we will get to that in a moment.
KETHER – means "Crown" and represents the Divine Will to create.
Chokhmah - means "Wisdom": and represents creation from
nothingness
Binah - means "Understanding": the infinite flash of Chokhmah brought
into the vessel of understanding.
Daat – means "Knowledge”
Chesed - means "Kindness": Loving grace / love of God/inspiring
vision
Geburah – means "Strength":
Tiphareth - means "Beauty": balance between Chesed and Geburah
in compassion
Netzach – means “Victory"
Hod - means "Splendor": Withdrawal/Surrender/sincerity
Yesod – means "Foundation”.
Malkhut - means "Kingship or Kingdom": Its creation and earth the
end point for the energy from above. This is where we are.
The tree of life, like a fractal is replicated in all the universe, from top
to the bottom, right to left, up and down ad infinitum. It is literally the
DNA of all there is.
So how does this all fit in with the Tefillin? Good question.
The Head Tefillin and the 10 Sephirot:
Since this Tefillin is on the head, it is the crown of being, it cleaves us
to the divine desire and purpose of creation. Within the head Tefillin
contains the chapters of the Torah we discussed in a previous
chapter that represent, Chokhmah - “Wisdom", Binah -
"Understanding” and Daat –"Knowledge.” Here we cleave to these
emanations not only in our selves but also that of the divine.
The Hand Tefillin and the 10 Sephirot:
In order for us to truly understand and contain the divine wisdom we
are connecting to from the head Tefillin, we must connect with the
rest of our being. The Hand Teffillin represents the other Sephirot all
the way to Malkhut. This is symbolized by the fact that when one
wraps the Tefillin on the arm, it is wrapped 7 times, each wrap for the
seven emotional attributes.
With our entire being wrapped in the divine, miracles can ensue. This
was of course a basic overview of the mystical aspects of the Tefillin.
I will now dedicate the rest of this chapter to various passages found
in the Kabbalah regarding the Tefillin so you get an even deeper
understanding of how important it is within the mystical tradition of
Judaism.
Zohar 1:140b – “When a man wears the Tefillin he enters a realm
where the holy one himself surrounds him with the mystery of the
highest faith.”
Zohar 3:81a – “The Man who wears Tefillin is crowned as on high. He
enters the perfection of Unity and so resembles his creator.”
Zohar 3:169b – “He who wears Tefillin is called a King on Earth, even
as God is called a King in heaven.”
Zohar 55 – “When a man wears Tefillin , a voice proclaims to all the
angels of the Chariot who watch over Prayer, “Give honor to the
image of the King, the man who wears Tefillin.”
Zohar 69 – “A man wearing Tefillin is enveloped by the Supernal
Mind, and the divine presence does not depart him.”
Zohar 6 Teruman 41b – “When a man wakes up in the morning and
binds himself with the holy mark of the Tefillin, FOUR angels greet
him as he leaves his door.”
Lekutey Moharan (A Hassidic text) 47 – “Tefillin can bring a person to
truth.”
The above is just a small fraction of what the wisdom literature has to
say about the Tefillin. I am sure you can see just how powerful they
are. Now that we covered that, the next two chapters will be mostly
technical in nature. We will discuss what you need to perform Tefillin
Magick and how to actually wear them. Once we do that, we will
move on to the rituals.
What You Will Need for Tefillin Magick
As I state in my other texts, most ritual objects are optional. They are
really meant for you to focus your energy. However, in this case at
least ONE object is absolutely necessary and that is the Tefillin itself.
The other elements are certainly optional but I would highly
recommend them to focus the energy.
Tefillin: Tefillin can be a bit expensive but amazon.com has some
affordable ones. My pair was given to me, so I don’t know where
they got it from. But these below should certainly work for you. I will
provide two links, one for the Tefillin tied in the manner of European
Jews and the other tied in the manner of Sephardic Jews. When we
get to the illustration of how to wear Tefillin we will be looking at both
methods.
Kosher Tefillin Peshutim for Right Handed, Sefaradi Version, from
Israel, with Free Bag by Peer Hastam
Kosher Tefillin Peshutim for Right Handed, Ashkenaz Version, From
Israel, with Free Bag
PLEASE NOTE, THE TEFILLIN ABOVE ARE FOR RIGHTHANDED
INDIVIDUALS WHICH MEANS THEY ARE PLACED ON THE LEFT
HAND. THIS IS VERY IMPORTANT TO KEEP IN MIND. THE
ABOVE ARE FOR MOST PEOPLE WHO ARE RIGHTHANDED.
Frankincense and Myrrh – This is a most sacred fragrance, if you
can’t get original, the normal stick incense will do just fine. We must
work with what we can get. I believe these are authentic.
Frankincense & Myrrh Incense Sticks (500 pack)
Pictures or statues of the Archangels. I just happen to have these five
statues:
A. Metatron Bronze Statue
B. Angel Michael Statue
C. Angel Gabriel
D. Angel Raphael
E. Angel Uriel
These Statues are a little costly. However, you can use any ones you
like, even just pictures of the angels printed out will be just fine. I will
also provide you with a link to the Hebrew names of the angels which
you can print out and use too instead of pictures and statues. This
part is for you, to help you focus. I like to use the statues because it
helps me focus my attention and these are very nice depictions.
Demon Names: Since the demons we will use do not have images
from what I know, I will include their names in Hebrew that you can
print out and use instead of statues. If you are reading this book on
kindle, I will provide a link to those images.
Candles: (Please note you can buy any kind of candle you like, they
don't have to be chimes or votive. I just happen to like the ones I
provided here)
Red Chime Candles: This color is quite powerful.
Gold Candles: This candle will be used for the ritual on financial
assistance. Many occultists will tell you to use green, but this has
been a long-held misconception. The only reason why people have
said to use green is because it's the color of money. The thing is, it's
only the color of money in the USA and maybe a few notes here and
there of other nations. They don't call the dollar “greenback" for
nothing. Green is not a color that is truly indicative money. Gold is
though, Gold is UNIVERSALLY known to be a signifier of wealth both
in ancient times and present. If you have been using Green for your
money rituals, now you know to use gold instead. It is much more
effective.
White Candles: White is for purity and will be used for our ritual for
inner peace.
Silver candles: This is for wisdom and will be used for ritual on divine
wisdom that only certain angels can bestow. As well as for magickal
powers.
Blue Candles: This will be used for health
Black Candles: These candles will be used to conquer your enemies
and repel evil spiritual entities. But also to call upon demons.
Bible: Any bible with a book of Psalms will do.
Please note you may not need all these items, get only those you
need for your ritual. Ok, now we will discuss how to put on Tefillin and
after that we will proceed to the exciting material.
How to Put on Tefillin
Tefillin have two leather boxes, one of which is worn on the arm and
the other of which is worn on the head. Since it is such a visual
process I am going to supply you with a link so you can see for
yourself how to put them on. I am doing this because even with
pictures of each step, it is not clear. Video is a much better teacher
here. These are videos I found on Youtube that I feel illustrates the
process very well.
What you will find there are two videos. They will show you how to
wear Tefillin according to the Sephardic tradition; this is the tradition
mostly used by Middle Eastern Jews. We will also look at the
Ashkenazic tradition; which is the one predominantly used by Jews
from Europe. They are almost identical, the only difference is the way
the hand is wrapped. You will hear a prayer being recited, do not
worry, I will go over that prayer in the next chapter. Another thing you
may notice them saying is to take out the hand Tefillin first and the
Head Tefillin second. Each one is labeled “Hand” and “head”. We will
also cover that in the next chapter. In terms of the prayer Shawl or
Talit in the first video, you do not need to do that, it will not be
necessary for our purposes. If you happen to have one by all means
you may use it.
Please go to the following link to watch the videos.

Prayers to Recite When Putting On the Tefillin
Before using the Tefillin in a ritual, it is symbolically important to recite
a blessing. You can of course skip this portion but I highly recommend
it even if just to show reverence. Here is the blessing and how to
apply it.
First, we need to distinguish the difference between the Arm and
Head Tefillin, despite the Arm having more strap, there is an indication
right on the Tefillin itself.
The Arm Tefillin should have these words:

The inscriptions says “ Tefillin Shel Yad” or “ Tefillin of The hand.”

The Head Tefillin should have these words:

The inscriptions says “ Tefillin Shel Rosh ” or “ Tefillin of The head.”

Now to the blessings: You can say them in English or Hebrew. I will
provide both with transliteration.
Step 1: Roll up the Sleeve of your non-dominant arm and place the
hand Tefillin loosely around your bicep.
Step 2: Now Say:
Hebrew:
English:
Blessed are you, Lord, our God, King of the universe. Who has
sanctified us with His commandments and commanded us to put on
Tefillin.
Transliterated:
Barukh atah Adonai, Eloheinu, melekh ha'olam
asher kidishanu b'mitz'votav v'tzivanu l'hani'ach t'filin
Step 3: After reciting the blessing, make sure to tighten the strap and
wind it around your forearm 7 times as you saw in the video in the
previous chapter. Once you get to the hand, stop, do not wrap it
around the fingers just yet. Just hold on to them in your hand until we
are ready to tie them.
Step 4: Now take out the head Tefillin and place it loosely on the head
around the hairline, right between the eyes.
Step 5: Now Recite the following blessing, it is the same as the last
one but with one more verse at the end.
Hebrew:

English:
Blessed are you, Lord, our God, King of the universe. Who has
sanctified us with His commandments and commanded us to put on
Tefillin. Blessed be the Name of His glorious kingdom for ever and
ever.
Transliterated:
Barukh atah Adonai, Eloheinu, melekh ha'olam
asher kidishanu b'mitz'votav v'tzivanu l'hani'ach t'filin
Barukh Sheim k'vod mal'khuto l'olam va'ed
Step 6: Make sure the straps that are hanging from the head Tefillin
are hanging loosely in front of your chest.
Step 7: Now you may wrap the rest of the hand Tefillin strap around
the fingers and hands as you saw in the video.
After this process you are ready for the rituals. I will repeat these
steps for every ritual so you have it as easy reference. Now before
we get into the rituals, I want to discuss the different spiritual
energies we will be using in this book and then, I promise, we will get
to the rituals.
The Spiritual Powers We Will Be Calling
In this chapter we will discuss the Spiritual Powers we will be tapping
into in this book. I feel it is important to know the powers before
accessing them.

Technically, this is Yahweh Zevaot Or Yahweh Lord of Hosts. In

Hebrew the Yahweh is not pronounced as it is spelled but is replaced
with the word Adonai. Since that is the norm it has acquired much
power and so we will pronounce it as:
ADONAI ZEVAOT – LORD OF HOSTS
We will be using this name for protection. Although just having the
Tefillin on gives you immediate protection, with this name, it will be
heightened. The name itself already conveys its power. Lord of
Hosts. This name, when used within the context of the ritual to come
will harness the “armies” of angels and spiritual powers that are the
hosts of heaven. It is so powerful that it can repel black magick and
evil forces from touching or harming you. We will be performing a
rituals for this very purpose.
I mentioned in the introduction that we will be calling on the 5
archangels for assistance. I will discuss each below.
ARCHANGEL MICHAEL
Michael is by far the most well-known Archangel. In the biblical
tradition he is considered to be the great warrior angel and "the great
prince". As a warrior angel he is in charge of making sure that Gods
divine will is fulfilled. It is not clear exactly what name Michael means.
Some say it means “Who Is Like God", but that is often followed by a
Question mark. It is simply not clear. Throughout the bible,
specifically the Old Testament he is the guardian angel of the Jewish
people. He is, of course the guardian of all.
In Christian tradition, he is the angel that cast Lucifer (later known as
Satan) out from heaven. In the tradition, Lucifer would defy God and
therefore Michael, which I guess you could say is Lucifer's opposite
banished him.
Magickally speaking: He is used for several areas of life. First and
foremost protection from evil people and any malevolence be it
spiritual or human. He is an establisher of peace and harmony in all
areas of life. For our purposes we will also use him for protection
again evil of all sorts.
His Day of Week: Sunday
His Candle color: Blue, Gold and Black.
Archangel Gabriel
The Name Gabriel means the strength of God or “Gods Hero”. It’s
interesting to note that although his name indicates strength, it is not
the kind of strength that Michael has. One would think that Michael
should be Gods hero. But the true strength of God is his message.
Thus Gabriel is truly “the strength of God”. Why? He is the angel
used to communicate divine messages. He is Gods messenger. He is
found within all western traditions, Judaism, Christianity and Islam
and in all traditions he is the one that conveys special divine
messages. He communicated with Mary telling her she would give
birth to Jesus. He communicated the Quran to the prophet
Muhammad.
Magickally speaking: He is used for several areas of life. However for
our purposes in this book we will contact him for divine wisdom. You
can also call upon him for anything you need clarity on.
His Day of Week: Monday
His Candle color: White, Silver.
Archangel Uriel
The name Uriel means “ God is My Light”. Uriel, I feel does not get
as much credit for what he represents. He is the angel that helps one
achieve pure consciousness. He can help shift our natural tendency of
pessimism into optimism. He can take any perceived disappointments
in our lives and turn it around. I guess you could say he is the angel of
impossible causes. He is most often mentioned in rabbinic and
Christian traditions. He is also found very often in apocryphal
literature as well. Such as the book of Enoch, book of Esdras,
Apocalypse of Peter etc.
Above all else, he is the angel of forgiveness, not only for what we
have done to others, but what we do to ourselves. In this book we
will tap into this angel to give us peace of mind and self-forgiveness.
If you are to be a magician of any worth, you must be clear of heart.
His Day of Week: Saturday
His Candle color: Blue
Archangel Raphael
Right up there with the angels Michael and Gabriel, Angel Raphael is
one of the most popular archangels. In Hebrew, Raphael means, the
“healer of God”. He has been historically used to bring mental and
physical healing. Raphael himself is not mentioned directly in the bible
but is often considered to have played a major role in it. He was the
one who healed Jacob after wrestling with the angel of God. He was
the one who gave calm and healing to Sarah in regards to her
conception. Some even say that he bestowed upon Solomon the
spirit-binding and magickal ring which is often referenced in
ceremonial magick texts.
For our purposes, we will use this angel for healing physical ailments.
You can use him to heal yourself or others.
His Day of Week: Wednesday
His Candle color: Blue, white, Red
Archangel Metatron
Metatron is not in the official archangel lists, but he is one in the
kabalistic traditions. In many ways, he is an angel for all things. You
can use him for whatever it is you like. Metatron, like Uriel can often
be found in the book of Enoch and other apocryphal books. There is
not much known of him, but many think that he was the ancient Enoch
from the book of Genesis, the first man to have been taken up by
God without physically dying and once he reached the heavens he
turned into the angel Metatron.
Metatron in Greek means “Behind The Throne”, meaning he is an
angel that works behind the scenes. He is the main angel that drives
the divine energy. I guess in many ways you could say he is the right
hand of God. Since he is not only the angel of knowledge but the
possessor of divine energy, he can be used for whatever purpose you
require. For our purpose, we will use Metatron the archangel for
bringing in abundance into our lives, but only for our highest good.
His Day of Week: Any Day of the Week
His Candle color: All colors, but Gold and Silver are what we will use.
Now that we have discussed the Angels, now we shall discuss the
two demons we will be using.
These demons are bit less known and are generally only used within
Kabbalistic circles. Although they are found in the bible and often
described as being foreign Gods, they are still considered demons
within the Jewish tradition…
And they are:
RESHEPH
RESHEPH is technically a god of the Canaanite religion who is
transformed into a demon in the bible. He is most known as one who
brings disease. In fact, in a very ODD passage in the Old Testament,
it appears Yahweh, the God of the Old Testament EMPLOYS
Resheph for his purposes. In Habakkuk 3:5, YHWH is on a bloody
rampage (no surprise there) and is said to be preceded and followed
by Resheph. If you know about how theology works in the Old
Testament, this is highly irregular…Interesting right? In all fairness,
some might say that disease was simply called Resheph after a
while, in either case, it is very irregular. For our purposes, we will use
him to crush our enemies. PLEASE BECAREFUL WITH THIS ONE.
ALOOKA
This one is very obscure, not many people know of this one. The
Name Alooka literally means “LEECH” and in some translations it is
synonymous with vampire although the proper word in Hebrew for
vampire is “Arrpad.” I consider Alooka a vampire, I think she is. In
Arabic literature, Alooka is a vampire. We will be using her as a way
to literally suck the energetic force out of someone, in many ways this
will help you control them. Again, please be careful.
The next is the four-letter name of God, more commonly known as
Yahweh or YHVH and the name Ehyeh, I will explain both. We will be
binding our soul to these great and powerful names, we will be using
a secret Kabbalist technique called Yichudim to do so.
Yichudim or “mystical unifications” are fairly obscure. It is a very
special form of meditation in Jewish mysticism, it was developed by
the great kabbalist Isaac Luria also known as the ARI (1534–1572).
In this system two or more names of God in Hebrew are combined,
this creates a powerful effect. The aspect that is complex about this
is that each name can be rearranged in so many different ways. The
system is so broad so I am going to focus on only one aspect.
Within this tradition, it is said that no one truly knows how to
pronounce the 4 letter name of God. In Hebrew it is pronounced
YEHOVAH. In Judaism however, they avoid mentioning that name in
fear that they are taking it in vain. They usually replace it with the
name “Hashem” which simply means “the name.” I for one am not
worried about saying the name directly and I encourage that you do
not fear it either. So the story goes that if anyone can pronounce the
name exactly as God does, the whole universe would revert to a
primordial state. The only issue is, the letter arrangements and the
vowels ascribed to that name alone (see name below) is only one of
tens of thousands of permutations of that name.
One of them, is the correct way. We will combine the above name
with another name of God “Ehyeh”
This is loosely translated as “I will be” some say “ I am”. This was the
name God used when telling Moses to go forth and save his people.
He said “Tell them, ‘I am’ sent you”. So in the ritual we will perform
will involve both these names separately and then together as a
Yichud. After a few minutes of this, you will literally feel your essence
cleave to the divine. It’s very interesting, your soul literally lights up
from within. I will supply the Hebrew for all these names at the
ritual portion.
Ok, there you have it, we will finally move on to the rituals. Thank you
for sticking through this rather lengthy text. Let us begin.
Ritual 1 – Calling Forth The Lord of Hosts For Protection
This is a very powerful protection rite. We will be calling on the Lord
of Hosts. With this ritual you are asking for full protection, from your
body to your soul. Let us begin.
Please light the GOLD AND WHITE Candles and the Incense Prior to
Putting on The Tefillin.
Initial Altar setup:

Putting on the Tefillin and the opening blessing:

Step 8: Calling Forth The Lord of Hosts:

Now that you have your Tefillin on, take a few moments and look
upon the letters of this great name.
If you need a print out of the name please go to :
http://www.baalkadmon.com/adonai/
Focus intently on every letter and every vowel. Focus until it takes up
your entire visual field. You may feel light headed but stick with it.
Step 9: Say the Following verse from Isaiah 6:3:
“Holy, holy, holy is the LORD of hosts; the whole earth is full of his
glory!”
Step 10: If you have a specific person or entity you need protection
from think of this person intently. If you do not have anyone or thing in
mind and just want general protection. Think about what protection
means to you. Why do you need it?
Step 11: Now Say the Following verse from 1 Samuel 17:45 “You
come to me with a sword and with a spear and with a javelin, but I
come to you in the name of the LORD of hosts…”
Step 12: If you are not already seated, please do so now. Take a
deep breath and feel the Tefillin on you. Do you feel it on your arm?
Your head? Do you smell the leather strap? Sit with that for a
moment.
Step 13: Close your eyes and picture the angels and the forces of
heaven encircling you. The very act of wearing Tefillin brings them to
you. Sit with this as long as you want.
Step 14: When you are ready, you may get out of this meditative
state. Slowly start unraveling the Tefillin. Take the head Tefillin off first
and place to back in its bag. Now slowly unravel the hand Tefillin and
place that back into the bag as well. You can now get up and burn the
candle out and the incense, or you can simply leave them until they
burn out on their own. For safety purposes, please do not leave
candles and incense burning unattended.
Thus concludes this ritual, this is incredibly powerful. Despite its
simplicity what you have just done is called such a powerful host of
protection to you. You will feel it, of that I am certain.
Ritual 2 – Calling Forth The Archangel Michael For
Protection
We will now perform another protection right using the energy of
Archangel Michael.
This ritual is to be performed on SUNDAY.
Please light the BLUE AND BLACK Candles and the Incense Prior to
Putting on The Tefillin.

are ready to tie them.
Step 4: Now take out the head Tefillin and place it loosely on the head
around the hairline, right between the eyes.
Step 5: Now Recite the following blessing, it is the same as the last
one but with one more verse at the end.
Hebrew:

the fingers and hands as you saw in the video.
Step 8: Calling Forth Archangel Michael

If you need to print out this name, please go to

http://www.baalkadmon.com/michael/
Focus on your Intention for this ritual
Step 9: Now Recite Psalms 91, if you do not have a bible handle
please reference the below:
"1 Whoever dwells in the shelter of the Most High
will rest in the shadow of the Almighty
2 I will say of the Lord, “He is my refuge and my fortress,
my God, in whom I trust.”
3 Surely he will save you
from the fowler’s snare
and from the deadly pestilence.
4 He will cover you with his feathers,
and under his wings you will find refuge;
his faithfulness will be your shield and rampart.
5 You will not fear the terror of night,
nor the arrow that flies by day,
6 nor the pestilence that stalks in the darkness,
nor the plague that destroys at midday.
7 A thousand may fall at your side,
ten thousand at your right hand,
but it will not come near you.
8 You will only observe with your eyes
and see the punishment of the wicked.
9 If you say, “The Lord is my refuge,”
and you make the Most High your dwelling,
10 no harm will overtake you,
no disaster will come near your tent.
11 For he will command his angels concerning you
to guard you in all your ways;
12 they will lift you up in their hands,
so that you will not strike your foot against a stone.
13 You will tread on the lion and the cobra;
you will trample the great lion and the serpent.
14 “Because he loves me,” says the Lord, “I will rescue him;
I will protect him, for he acknowledges my name.
15 He will call on me, and I will answer him;
I will be with him in trouble,
I will deliver him and honor him.
16 With long life I will satisfy him
and show him my salvation.”
Step 10: Now Say the Following:” Oh Mighty Archangel Michael come
to me and provide me the protection I so desire. oh blessed angel of
the Lord"
Step 11: If you are not already seated, please do so now. Take a
deep breath and feel the Tefillin on you. Do you feel it on your arm?
Your head? Do you smell the leather strap? Sit with that for a
moment.
Step 12: Close your eyes and picture the angel Michael or his name
in front of you. He is now guarding you with his holy and fierce
energy.
Step 13: When you are ready, you may get out of this meditative
state. Slowly start unraveling the Tefillin. Take the head Tefillin off first
and place to back in its bag. Now slowly unravel the hand Tefillin and
place that back into the bag as well. You can now get up and burn the
candle out and the incense, or you can simply leave them until they
burn out on their own. For safety purposes, please do not leave
candles and incense burning unattended.
Thus concludes this ritual, isn’t it powerful to call on Angels with the
Tefillin? This moment is such a holy moment.
Ritual 3 – Calling Forth The Archangel Gabriel For Wisdom

Step 9: Now Recite Psalms 39, if you do not have a bible handle
please reference the below:
1 I said, “I will watch my ways
and keep my tongue from sin;
I will put a muzzle on my mouth
while in the presence of the wicked.”
2 So I remained utterly silent,
not even saying anything good.
But my anguish increased;
3 my heart grew hot within me.
While I meditated, the fire burned;
then I spoke with my tongue:
4 “Show me, Lord, my life’s end
and the number of my days;
let me know how fleeting my life is.
5 You have made my days a mere handbreadth;
the span of my years is as nothing before you.
Everyone is but a breath,
even those who seem secure.[b]
6 “Surely everyone goes around like a mere phantom;
in vain they rush about, heaping up wealth
without knowing whose it will finally be.
7 “But now, Lord, what do I look for?
My hope is in you.
8 Save me from all my transgressions;
do not make me the scorn of fools.
9 I was silent; I would not open my mouth,
for you are the one who has done this.
10 Remove your scourge from me;
I am overcome by the blow of your hand.
11 When you rebuke and discipline anyone for their sin,
you consume their wealth like a moth—
surely everyone is but a breath.
12 “Hear my prayer, Lord,
listen to my cry for help;
do not be deaf to my weeping.
I dwell with you as a foreigner,
a stranger, as all my ancestors were.
13 Look away from me, that I may enjoy life again
before I depart and am no more.”
Step 10: Now Say the Following: “Oh Mighty Archangel Gabriel come
to me and provide me the wisdom I so desire. oh blessed angel of
the Lord"
Step 11: If you are not already seated, please do so now. Take a
deep breath and feel the Tefillin on you. Do you feel it on your arm?
Your head? Do you smell the leather strap? Sit with that for a
moment.
Step 12: Close your eyes and picture the angel Gabriel or his name in
front of you. He is now by your side willing to bestow the wisdom you
so thirst to have.
Thus concludes this ritual, I have performed this ritual several times

before. If you feel light headed or if you have a headache, this is
normal. You are raising your vibration very high.
Step 13: When you are ready, you may get out of this Meditate state.
Slowly start unraveling the Tefillin. Take the head Tefillin off first and
place to back in its bag. Now slowly unravel the hand Tefillin and
place that back into the bag as well. If you lit incense and candles
You can now get up and burn the candle out and the incense, or you
can simply leave them until they burn out on their own. For safety
purposes, please do not leave candles and incense burning
unattended.
Thus concludes this ritual, I suggest sitting with this one fairly often.
You will literally feel lighter, of that I can assure you.
Conclusion
We have come to the end of our time here. As you see, this method
is very obscure. No one else has ever used Tefillin with magick, at
least none that have written about it. Many people may have some
religious fears and so they may be afraid to perform this magick. I
assure you, it is very powerful and there is nothing to fear. It is such a
powerful method and I hope, if you are so inclined, you will try it out.

Baal Kadmon
About The Author
Baal Kadmon is an Author, Occultist, and Meditation teacher based
out of New York City. In addition to the Occult, he is a Scholar of
Religion Philosopher, and Historian specializing in Ancient History,
Late Antiquity and Medieval History. He has studied and speaks
Israeli Hebrew, Classical Hebrew, Ugaritic language, Arabic, Judeo-
Aramaic, Syriac (language), Ancient Greek and Classical Latin.
Baal first discovered his occult calling when he was very young. It
was only in his teens, when on a trip to the Middle East that he
heeded the call. Several teachers and many decades later he felt
ready to share what he had learned.
His teachings are unconventional to say the least. In addition to
rituals, he includes in depth history in almost all the books he writes.
He shatters the beloved and idolatrously held notions most occultists
hold dear. His pared-down approach to Magick and Meditation is
refreshing and is very much needed in a field that is mired by self-
important magicians and teachers who place more importance on
pomp and circumstance, than on Magick and Meditation. What you
learn from Baal is straight-forward, with no frills. There is no need to
complicate things.
