Practice 1:FUN - Football stuck in the mud Practice 2: 4v0 Crossing & finishing 1 - 2v1 Observation Notes:
1. Players technical skills to beat mannequin.

2. Players passing and receiving around the mannequin.

3. Players timing of runs to score in the finishing zone and

what contact of foot they are using to score.

Practice 4: Crossing & finishing - real pressure
Organisation:
P1: FUN football stuck in the mud - taggers with ball who
are on try to catch the others. If they do the players must
stand with ball above head and legs apart, players then
get nut-megged to go free. Play is continuous.

P2: 4v0 crossing & finishing - players attack first with a

combination on either wing (left side here). Players
progress to finishing zone to score players get 5, 10 or 20
points if they score.

P3 & P4: illustrated are progressions to P2.

Timings: Competition:
*90 mins - full session Points to score in finishing
zone. Team v team
P1: 15 mins
P2-P4 3x 25 mins

** Creating space

Passing & receiving then get the return pass behind mannequin -
Technical combinations
Attacking priciples of play - combinations/finishing
Endurance Support the crosser on the ball with timed movement and
Physical runs into the finishing zone

Decisions on where and when to run to make contact on the ball to score Contact surface for - direction/sliding - aerially or ground
Psychological Finishing quality - punish GK at weak side
Confidence to score
Communication as ball arrives in the finishing zone
