Among the principles adopted by Cameroon include the following: The principle of
state sovereignty which guarantees the existence of states without distinction of size or
power; The principle of non-interference in the internal affairs of States, i.e. a nation
cannot be sovereign if its internal policy is subject to interference by other States; The
principle of solidarity and African unity, aware that unity is strength, Cameroon
supports and promotes initiatives likely to give strength and cohesion to Africa and
works for the promotion of good neighbourly relations.
