AN ADDRESS PRESENTED BY OLAMABORO AREA

CONFERENCE CHAIRMAN, REV'D REUBEN U. OYIBO,

DURING THE ANNUAL AREA CONFERENCE HOLDING AT
UEC OJUWO SUPERINTENDENCY HEADQUARTERS FROM
THURSDAY 17TH TO SATURDAY 19TH AUGUST, 2023.
PROTOCOL

Dearly beloved, it gives me joy unspeakable to address this wonderful

congregation in the house of God at this special occasion being slated for our
annual conference. I see this day, this occasion and this time as a blessed moment
that God is going to shower His blessings upon His people. In view of this, I siege
this opportunity to welcome you all to this year's conference in the name of our
Lord and savior Jesus Christ.

APPRECIATION:
My heartfelt gratitude goes to God Almighty for His faithfulness and the grace to
carry out the mandate which He has assigned us and I sincerely appreciate each
and every one of you for your cooperation, prayers and support. I equally
appreciate the special guests in our midst, for honoring our invitation. Furthermore,
I thank God for the success recorded during our 10th year anniversary that took
place few months ago, you all did your best and I must thank the committee for the
job well done, God bless you all.

THEME FOR THIS YEAR'S ANNUAL CONFERENCE:

'COMMITMENT/SACRIFICE FOR MORE GREAT THINGS OF
GLADNESS'. It is my prayer that as God is going to reveal His mind to us
concerning this topic, in this conference; we shall become more committed and
make more sacrifice so that we can experience More Great Things of Gladness in
Jesus name.

OLACON PROJECT:
Brethren, a call to build God's house is a divine mandate that needs to be done with
all seriousness and commitment, as you can see in Haggai 1: for, 2:4. May the
Lord help us to complete the good work we've started.

MAINTAINING CHURCH STANDARD:

United Evangelical church has standard that must be maintained by all especially
the church officers. Tools to use; Bible, Hymn and other Church documents like
Constitution, order of service and standing order etc. Therefore it is necessary for
us to have a common practice as Jesus prayed for unity of the church in (John
17:9-11) let us be united.

LEADERSHIP TENURESHIP:
There is time limit for any leadership of our church i.e at local church congregation
level, their tenure lasts for three (3) years, after which the house would be
dissolved and the new leaders will emerge, those who performed well can be re-
elected or being chosen unopposed for second tenure, while that of
Superintendency, Area Conference and National level last for four (4) years before
another election and in any vacant seat, replacement is allowed.

OLACON FARM:
I thank those that have been watching over our farm all this while and I encourage
all of us to join hands together as we build the farm for future development.

EDUCATION/CHILDREN MINISTRY:
Education is key for any development to thrive, therefore let's take education
seriously. And it is important to teach our children in the level that they can easily
understand the word of God. Therefore we should have Christian children
materials to be used for them at their service as I equally urge their teachers to put
more effort in what they have been doing, as it is only God that can reward them.

MISSION/EVANGELISM:
As our name implies, mission and evangelism is our major priority that everyone
must be committed to it, as that is the heartbeat of God.

STATE OF THE NATION:

For all that is happening in our country Nigeria as we can see today i.e.
kidnapping, poverty, hunger, insecurity etc we have to rise up to pray as we call on
our God who always answers prayers and He will answer you even today.

CONCLUSION:
As you have come for this convention, the Lord will visit you and you will never
go back the same way you have come for you shall have a great testimony. The
Lord whom has started this conference with us will surely lead us to the successful
end. Have a wonderful and may the Lord bless you all as you contribute
meaningfully to the progress of God's work in Jesus Name (Amen).
