ABSTRACT
In modern era, as we are depleting the value of a relation in the
organisation and focussing sole heartedly into profits, it is of
utmost important to bring back the values and ethics taught by our
ancestors. The objective of this paper is to discuss the significance
of religious text and ethical values in management decisions.
INTRODUCTION
Human values are principles or standards that guide human
behavior and decision-making. They reflect what is important to
individuals and society as a whole, influencing attitudes, actions,
and relationships. Understanding human values is crucial in
various fields, including psychology, sociology, ethics, and
philosophy. This report explores the concept of human values,
their classification, measurement, and significance in different
contexts.
DISCUSSION

What are values?


Value means to be worth something.They align with the ideas to
be followed coming from Society and Family.

Human Values
Human values refer to the fundamental beliefs, principles, and
ideals that guide human behavior and decision-making. They
represent what individuals or societies consider important,
desirable, and worth pursuing. Human values encompass a wide
range of concepts, including honesty, integrity, compassion,
justice, fairness, respect, empathy, responsibility, and cooperation.
These values shape individuals' attitudes, actions, and
relationships, influencing both personal and collective behavior.
Human values provide a framework for moral reasoning, ethical
conduct, and the development of societal norms and institutions.
They are essential for fostering harmonious interactions within
communities and promoting the well-being and dignity of all
individuals.

Importance
 Values ensures that the Individual stays in the Right Path
 It improves decision making abilities
 It gives direction to life and brings joy
 It helps to attain peace
 It develops the character of an individual
 It helps us to preserve our nculture and heritage
 It brings changes within individual and society
Basic Human Values

The basic human values are:-

 Values: They are Individualistic.It means to give importance.

 Morals: They are Individual based features,set of values and


the judgement of people based on those values

 Ethics: They are the rules and regulations set by the society

 Integrity:Integrity is a fundamental human value that involves


being honest, ethical, and consistent in one's actions, values,
and principles. It reflects a strong sense of morality, reliability,
and trustworthiness.

 Honesty:Honesty is a core human value that involves being


truthful, sincere, and transparent in one's words and actions. It
entails being trustworthy and reliable, as well as having
integrity and moral courage. Honesty fosters trust, credibility,
and respect in relationships, and is essential for personal
integrity and ethical conduct.

 Respect for others: It is a fundamental human value that


involves acknowledging the inherent worth and dignity of
every individual. It involves treating others with kindness,
empathy, and consideration, regardless of their background or
beliefs. Respect fosters positive relationships, enhances mutual
understanding, and promotes a harmonious society.

 Value of time: The value of time as a human value emphasizes


the importance of using time wisely and efficiently. It involves
prioritizing tasks, managing schedules effectively, and
respecting others' time, leading to increased productivity and
fulfillment.
 Service Learning: Service learning integrates meaningful
community service with academic learning. It fosters civic
responsibility and personal growth while addressing
community needs.

 Work Ethic: Work ethic refers to the moral principles and


values that guide an individual's work behavior. It includes
qualities like diligence, reliability, and a commitment to
excellence.

 Civic Virtue: Civic virtue involves active participation in


community affairs and a commitment to the common good. It
includes qualities such as honesty, integrity, and a sense of
civic duty.

 Caring: Caring is a fundamental human value that involves


showing compassion, empathy, and concern for others' well-
being. It fosters positive relationships and a sense of
community.

 Sharing: Sharing is the act of giving or contributing resources,


time, or knowledge for the benefit of others. It promotes
cooperation, generosity, and a sense of solidarity.

 Cooperation: Cooperation involves working together towards a


common goal, recognizing and respecting each other's
contributions. It fosters teamwork, mutual understanding, and
shared success.

 Commitment: Commitment is the dedication to a cause, goal,


or relationship, despite challenges or obstacles. It reflects
determination, perseverance, and loyalty.
 Empathy: Empathy is the ability to understand and share the
feelings of others. It promotes kindness, compassion, and the
ability to connect with others emotionally.

 Self-Confidence: Self-confidence is the belief in one's abilities,


qualities, and judgment. It enables individuals to face
challenges, take risks, and pursue their goals with conviction.

 Character: Character refers to the moral and ethical qualities


that define an individual. It includes honesty, integrity, fairness,
and a sense of responsibility.

Types of Human Values can be classified generallyinto :-


a. Right conduct
b. Peace
c. Truth
d. Love
e. Non-violence
CONCLUSION
Human values are fundamental principles that guide human
behavior and decision-making. They are classified into various
categories and can be measured using a variety of methods.
Understanding human values is essential for personal growth,
interpersonal relationships, ethics, and social change. Further
research into the dynamics of human values can lead to a deeper
understanding of human behavior and society.
In a nutshell in these technical report we came to know about
various Aspects of human values and its characteristics. We
understand the fundamental objectives of human values in
engineering. We can analyse the local and global impact of
computing and engineering solutions on individuals ,organizations
and society.
