Your application for SIS has been reviewed. I regret to inform you that your application was not
approved. Based on the regulations of the SIS program, it has been determined you are ineligible
to receive SIS benefits for the following reason(s):

 You are receiving financial assistance from the federal government through the
Resettlement Assistance Program (RAP). In accordance with SIS Regulation 2-4(b)(iii)(D),
you are not eligible to receive benefits sponsor.

If you disagree with the requirements described in this letter, you have the right to appeal. Your
request for appeal must be received within 15 days from the date of this letter. To appeal, please
state your concerns in writing to the Service Manager at the above address. The ministry will
review your case. If no change is possible, a hearing will be set before a committee outside the
ministry. You may present your concerns at the hearing.

Temporary benefits may be available until your appeal hearing. If you need temporary benefits,
please make this request in your letter.
