Book Talk of “The KITE RUNNER”

By

Khaled Hosseini

Hello everyone, today I would like to talk about one of the most heart-wrenching and thought-provoking
books of all time, “The Kite Runner” by Khaled Hosseini.

The book takes us on an emotional journey through the lives of two young boys, Amir and Hassan, who
grew up together in Kabul, Afghanistan. Their friendship is put to the test when Amir fails to stand up for
Hassan in a critical moment, leading to a devastating turn of events that separates them.

The book teaches us valuable lessons about friendship, loyalty, betrayal, and redemption. It also
highlights the devastating consequences of war and violence, and the importance of forgiveness and
healing.

My favorite character in the book is Hassan, who despite being a victim of discrimination and prejudice,
remains kind, loyal, and compassionate throughout the story. He is a true representation of the
resilience of the human spirit.

“The Kite Runner” has had a significant impact on society, shedding light on the atrocities of war and the
struggles of the Afghan people. It also promotes the importance of education, tolerance, and
understanding.

One of the most memorable dialogues from the book is, “For you, a thousand times over.” It represents
the depth of Hassan’s loyalty and his willingness to go to great lengths to protect and support his friend.

In summary, “The Kite Runner” is a must-read for anyone looking for a thought-provoking and emotional
journey through the lives of two boys whose lives are forever changed by war, betrayal, and ultimately,
redemption. Thank you.
