SAFETY PRECAUTIONS
S.N. Safety precautions Responsibility
1. All safety precautions will be taken in welding, cutting, DGM (Mech.) SMS-2
& pipe handling.
2. Double earthing should be ensured for welding DGM (Mech.) SMS-2
machine, if required.
3. Display of RED banner at both ends of affected area . DGM (Mech.) SMS-2
4. Keen supervision of job will be done. DGM (Mech.) SMS-2
5. Every person working in the vicinity of track will stay DGM (Mech.) SMS-2
around 3.0 Mtrs. Away from moving train whenever
they will be alerted by the supervisor.
6. All the equipments involved for carrying out the job DGM (Mech.) SMS-2
will be moved away at safe distance from the moving
train.

Traffic Department.
8. Before commencing the work, intimation will be given DGM (Mech.) SMS-2
to the concerned area in-charge of signaling and PWI
(T&D).
9. After completion of job, intimation will be given to all DGM (Mech.) SMS-2
the concerned area in-charge of the section (T&D).
10. Housekeeping of the area after the completion of work DGM (Mech.) SMS-2
will be maintained.
11. At the start of job safety talk will be given to all the DGM (Mech.) SMS-2
persons involved in the job.
12. Manual digging will be done wherever signal cable will DGM (Mech.) SMS-2
pass.
