Body language refers to the nonverbal signals that we use to communicate our feelings and

intentions. The ability to understand and to interpret body language can help us to pick up on
unspoken issues, problems or negative feelings that other people might have. The type of body
language include ;
● Body movement and posture.
● Gestures.
● Eye contact.
● Touch.
● Space.
● Voice.
● Pay attention to inconsistencies.
Positive body language is when our movements and gestures show that we are engaged,
interested, approachable. Negative body language is often called defensive body language.
This is when your movements and gestures show you are insecure, closed-off, unapproachable
or disinterested.
I did experiment with my friend as well as my sister . I used negative body language when
they speak to me, both of them getting angry when i was not listening them. I talk to my friend
about 30 min. He is very interested in his matter and he express his thoughts to me, then i
slowly change my body language , i changed my eye contact and voice ,then he said to me you
should hear but i didn't show the interest even if he continue but he has not such interest like
the beginning. His body language also changed and change of his voice too So he can't
express the matters effectively. Then i talked to my father and i give more attention to his words
So he showed more interest to talk with me. I paid attention to his each and every word so he
can clearly express the matters.
This experiment is helped to understand the situation that when we showed the negative
body language.
The time when we showed our negative body language the interest of the sender will also be
decreased and he can't express the ideas effectively.
We show positive attitude instead of showing negative attitude the sender can deliver the
message effectively and the receiver can understand easily.
