Common Nouns and Proper Nouns


Common nouns are words that name people, places, animals and objects and
they don’t need to have a capital letter e.g. man, town, dog, tree.
Proper nouns name particular people or places and they do need to have a capital
letter. e.g. Mrs Smith, Jack, London.
