About UPI and it's working mechanisms

UPI payment stands for Unified Payments Interface. It is a real-time payment

system developed by the National Payments Corporation of India (NPCI) that
allows users to instantly transfer funds between bank accounts through their
smartphones. UPI payments provide a convenient, secure, and seamless way
to make transactions, including person-to-person payments (P2P), bill
payments, online shopping, and more.

Working mechanisms:

PUSH: Streamlined Payment

Hi

● Initiation and Authorization: Customers use UPI apps, provide details,

and authorize through their bank.
● Verification and Transfer: Funds are verified, deducted, and instantly
transferred to the recipient’s account.

PULL: Controlled Payment Requests

● Initiation and Flow: Recipients request funds, and the payment

request flows to the NPCI.
● Transaction Between Banks: The request moves between banks, gets
verified, and completes with fund transfer.

ADVANTAGE and DISADVANTAGE Of Google pay :

Advantages:

● Easier than carrying around a wallet full of credit cards.

● More secure than using a physical credit card, thanks to tokenization.
● Compatible with hundreds of Android phones and devices.
Hi

Disadvantages :

● Not available in every region, and not all businesses accept it.
● Not compatible with iOS devices (Apple users can use Apple Pay instead).
● Only works if your phone does, so you should carry a physical card as a backup
in case your battery dies.

Example for wrong payment in Google pay and recovery method:

If you accidentally made a payment on Google Pay, unfortunately,

there isn't a direct way to reverse it yourself. The best thing to do is to
contact Google Pay customer support 891-896-3354 to request a
refund.

Recover methods

1,Contact the Receiver: Reach out to the person who received the
funds and request a refund. Provide them with the necessary details
and ask for their cooperation in returning the money.
Hi

2,Contact Customer Support: Report the wrong transaction to the

customer support team of your UPI app. Provide them with all the
relevant information and evidence of the transaction. They can assist
you in initiating the refund process.

3,File a Complaint with NPCI: If you are unable to resolve the issue
with the app’s customer support, you can file a complaint with the
National Payments Corporation of India (NPCI). Provide them with the
transaction details and evidence, and they will investigate the matter
further.

4,Seek Assistance from Your Bank: Contact your bank and inform
them about the wrong transaction. Provide them with all the
necessary details and documentation. They can help initiate the
chargeback process to recover the transferred funds.

5,Approach the Banking Ombudsman: If you are not satisfied with the
response from your bank or the UPI app’s customer support, you can
escalate the issue to the Banking Ombudsman. They can mediate
