I take this opportunity to present to the Kenya national examination council due to award in diploma in
building construction. Through great efforts I have come up with Complied information on the proposed
construction of a Modern health centre the subject matters has amply illustrated by incorporating all the
required building codes and standard method measurement.
Although every care has been taken to check mistake and misprints yet it is difficult to claim perfection. I
hope this project will be important to examiner and the public at large.

I would like to dedicate my parents for their great support, care and guidance they have given me for all
those years .My special dedication also goes to my uncles for their supportive services they had offered to
me like helping me money for buying books and other learning materials. Lastly my dedication goes to

ABSTRACT
The site is situated where there is enough space for material delivery and manoeuvring .the rods are
possible which is an added advantage to both client and a contractor.
The compound is well fenced with well-constructed gates. However the contractor will ensure that
hoarding is done early to avoid pilfering of materials. The college has employed watchmen who patrol the
compound is lighted around to maintain security
CHAPTER ONE

BACKGROUND INFORMATION

This project report is a document represented to the Kenya national examination council in the
comprehensive form because of its great importance to the student of undertaking civil engineering
course.
The project encloses all the information and details regarding the area and the general care taking into
consideration all the precautions and measures to ensure that all the information given out is clearly and
other important message is left out. This document will help the client to access his or her capability to
expose the cost of Implication of setting up the project and analyses the cost before commencement of
the project on other hand it will help the student in billing and locating the services.
INTRODUCTION

The project is viable since through the study, it was found that Kisii that the area does not have a modern
flats apart from the one that was build many years ago and is not large enough to serve the population.

STATEMENT OF THE PROBLEM

The main challenge in the area is scarcity of modern residential structures with the modern serviceability.
Due to this challenge it led to development of this new building to serve the growing population
experienced in the area .
MAIN OBJECTIVE

 Reduce congestion

 To meet the quality standards
 Create employment

SIGNIFICANCE OF THE PROPOSAL

The proposed building will reduce congestion being experienced in other buildings, the proposed
structure will have modern plumping fixtures and affordable price to users in the area.

CONCLUSION

The reason for proposing the building is to reduce the scarcity of residential building seen in the area.
