Distinguished Ladies and Gentlemen,

Welcome to CAFEO 41, Engineering Business Summit, and RAPIMNAS for PII
Members in Bali, Indonesia. As the Chairman of the Organizing Committee, I am honored to
be here with you today as we explore the theme "Igniting ASEAN's Blue Economy and Green
Energy." This event showcases our dedication to engineering excellence, environmental
sustainability, and economic progress. It serves as a valuable platform for knowledge
sharing, collaboration, and strategic discussions among engineering professionals,
policymakers, and industry leaders.

I extend my deepest gratitude to our partners, sponsors, and supporters for their
unwavering dedication in making this event possible. Your support and belief in our collective
vision have allowed us to create a program that will inspire, inform, and empower us to shape
a sustainable future for ASEAN. CAFEO provides a unique opportunity for member
organizations to showcase their accomplishments, exchange best practices, and explore
ideas on leveraging the blue economy and green energy sectors for sustainable
development. It is a celebration of our collective achievements and a catalyst for future
collaborations.

Engineering Business Summit brings together visionaries and industry experts to

identify opportunities, address challenges, and unlock the vast potential of the blue
economy and green energy sectors. This summit serves as a platform for forging
partnerships, exploring innovative business models, and accelerating the adoption of
sustainable practices. RAPIMNAS, a pivotal event for PII Members, enables us to align our
objectives, strategize for the future, and strengthen our professional network. Together, we
can shape the engineering landscape in Indonesia and contribute to the country's
sustainable development and progress.

CAFEO 41, the Engineering Business Summit, and RAPIMNAS offer a

comprehensive program of keynote speeches, technical sessions, panel discussions,
networking opportunities, and last but not least, recommendations to the ASEAN Leaders on
issues related to CAFEO theme. These events present a wealth of ideas, insights, and
experiences that will equip us with the tools and knowledge to ignite ASEAN's blue economy
and green energy sectors. I encourage each of you to actively engage, share your expertise,

is a non-governmental organization.
Its members are the engineeringinstitutions and organisations of ASEAN countries with the following main
objectives:

To promote goodwill and mutual understanding To establish and

develop an ASEAN baseline standard for the engineering profession with the objective of facilitating the mobility
of the engineers within the ASEAN countries.

The Institution of Engineers Indonesia (PII), established in 1952 and a member of AFEO, is dedicated to fostering
engineering excellence in Indonesia. With over 80,000 members, PII conducts training, seminars, and professional
certification for engineers, while also being affiliated with international engineering organizations like WFEO, IEA,
FEISEAP, and AEESEAP. Governed by Indonesia's Law Number 11/2014, PII serves as both an engineer certification
body and a registration authority for engineers across various fields. PII's significant contribution includes
founding the Indonesian Accreditation Board for Engineering Education (IABEE), which holds Full Signatory
Washington Accord Status since 2021, and focuses on ensuring quality in engineering higher education programs,
adhering to international standards, and promoting continuous improvement in engineering education
institutions.
