alkothat valami organismust. De magyarázzuk ki magunkat.
A királyt két minisztere össze akarja házasítani az udvarnál
mulató velenczei herczegnővel, Fiorival. Hogy miért, kivehetni
ugyan, de nem érthetni eléggé tisztán. Azért-e, hogy befolyásuk
inkább megszilárduljon? De hiszen az anyakirályné által eléggé
uralkodnak a királyon, legfeljebb a királyné halála utáni időre
kivánják magokat biztosítani. Azért-e, hogy e házasság véget
vessen a velenczei háborúnak?
mulasson a királylyal.
A királyt
Az
ember azt várná, hogy most kezdődik a cselszövény, a küzdés. A
világért sem. A királyné, a két miniszter s Fiori számba se veszik
A mű többi részét
marad. A királyné csakugyan ráveszi Lajost a hadüzenetre, azonban
követ érkezik a római császártól a fenforgó pletyka megczáfolására
s nagy tisztelete kifejezésére. A miniszterek, nehogy a követ a
bejelenti a királynak.
annyira a római császárral való háborút s a velenczei
királylyal elvétessék Fiorit; s mindamellett semmibe se veszik a bán
leányát, kitől leginkább félhetnének. Megindulhat a római háború,
bizonyos. A király Kopjai segítsége nélkül is elébb-utóbb meg fogja
tudni a dolgot s kénytelen lesz kiűzni őket udvarából.
E mellett ezek a
nagy cselszövők, kik nagy Lajos udvarában uralkodnak, épen
ellenségök segítségével akarják végrehajtani durva
cselszövényöket.
De elég. Ne bonczoljuk tovább e szeretlen cselekvény össze-
vissza hányt tagjait, mellőzzünk egyebet is, sok mindent, mert
lapokat kellene összeírnunk a mű hibáiról, mert kimélni akarjuk a
