High School Diploma Aknowlegment Letter
High School Diploma Aknowlegment Letter
The purpose of this letter is to provide further clarification on the graduation and high school diploma (HSD) requirements
for our students. We kindly ask that both you and your child review this letter and sign at the bottom to acknowledge your
understanding of these requirements.
To qualify for the SABIS® HSD in the UAE, students in grade 12 must pass a minimum of 5 subjects in addition to Arabic for
Arab students and Islamic Studies for Muslim students, and UAE Moral Education. Additionally, throughout grades 9 to
11, students must ensure to take all of the mandatory subjects as detailed in the grade specific “Choice of Subjects”
selection form.
Furthermore, SABIS® recently introduced high school requirements that must be fulfilled by the end of Grade 11 at the
latest. These requirements are mandatory in order to be promoted to Grade 12 and to be awarded the SABIS® HSD. The
requirements are as follows:
Students may opt to take a combination of these exams provided the minimum score requirement is met for each of
English and math. Other external exams are also possible (at AS and AP® levels) provided these are completed by the end
of Level M (Grade 11). These additional external exams and their associated minimal scores will be decided on a case-by-
case basis.
Please review these requirements with your child and sign the acknowledgement section below. We appreciate your
continued support and cooperation as we work together to help our students achieve their full potential.
Sincerely,
School Administration
