Subject: CTs Series BBY Card Silk Screen.

Applicability: Certain CTs models made in December 2011 identified and dealers notified which models could be
impacted had the input polarity of the ( + ) and ( - ) silk screened on the BBY input panel backwards. The amplifiers
actually circuit design is correct. This note is in conjunction with the letter you received alerting you of this issue.

Conditions: If input is wired per what is stated on the BBY card your audio signal would be out of polarity.

Solution: Crown is supplying to each dealer identified that possible received product with the silk screen backwards
with label overlays with the correct input configuration.

Procedure: Figure 1 below shows what a good and bad card would look like.

Figure 2 below shows the card applying the overlay that will correct the wrong input wiring configuration with
the correct input wiring configuration.

1) Clean area where the overlay will be applied with Isopropyl Alcohol to make sure any oil or other
containments are cleared that could impact the overlay from bonding to the panel properly.
2) Apply overlay as shown in figure 2 below.

3) Apply the overlay so the correct pin configuration is aligned under the Phoenix connector as seen below.
