Certified ScrumMaster® (CSM) Training - Important Pre-training Notes

Hi,

My name’s Taghi Paksima and I’ll be your trainer for the upcoming Certified ScrumMaster® (CSM) training.

To help you prepare for the training I’d like to draw your attention to a few important points:

To ensure we are all off for a good start and to help you benefit the most from the training please make sure you
review the following notes and prerequisites before the training.

1. Agile & Scrum Basics:

Although there are no pre-requisites for this training, I strongly recommend that you read through the Agile
Manifesto (including its principles) and the "official" Scrum Guide before the training. While doing so make
sure you note down your questions and bring them along to the class.

2. Certification:
Please note that full attendance throughout the training sessions and active participation are prerequisites
for certification. For Live-Online trainings this will also mean video and audio presence throughout the
training.

3. Technical requirements:
This will be a fully interactive training. Please make sure that you test your setup before the training:
o A computer (PC or Mac) with reliable Internet access
o A Webcam (video presence is required)
o A Headset (using speakers on your computer will produce audio echo).
o We’ll be using Zoom for video connectivity and Miro for online collaboration.
Ensure you have the latest version of Zoom app installed before the training. No installation is
required for Miro.
o Using this test Miro board, take a few minutes to familiarise yourself with Miro before the training. On
that board, you will have some instructions for the required basic functionality.
