Special Clause for Teacher Hiring (Pakistan) - M22

Effective from: 01st March 2022

Fees: You will be paid remuneration as per the conditions enumerated below:

A. Remuneration:
a. Each class duration is 1 hour (for normal as well as demo/trial class)
b. PKR 470 per completed course class.
c. PKR 240 per completed trial class to teachers with conversion %age >= 10%
d. PKR 120 per completed trial class to teachers with conversion %age < 10%
e. PKR 60 extra incentive for all completed trial classes in peak hours
i. (Peak hours are subject to change from time to time. Right now, peak
hours are 3 pm PST to 10 pm PST. So for all completed trial classes
between 3 pm PST to 10 pm PST, effective incentive is PKR 180)
f. PKR 60 per incomplete class (trial/course)
g. Bonus of PKR 5600 /month if available for at least 120 hours in a month and beyond
that PKR 50 per extra availability on a pro-rata basis.
h. Bonus of PKR 9400/month if available at least 150 hours in a month and beyond that
PKR 60 per extra availability on a pro-rata basis.
i. Bonus of PKR 14000/month if available at least 200 hours in a month and beyond
that PKR 70 per extra availability on a pro-rata basis.
j. PKR 2360 per paid student referral (as decided by Codingal from time to time)
k. PKR 2360 per teacher referral who completes three (3) months
l. PKR 23600 bonus on completing 300 classes in 3 months, without cancelling any
course class.
Note: Incentives will be calculated on a quarterly basis.
The 4 quarters are :
January - March
April - June
July - September
October- December
m. PKR 120 for every PTM call after every 2 modules (or as conveyed by the customer
success team)
n. PKR 120 for every doubt class completed with students
o. PKR 2360 bonus per month on maintaining an average teacher rating of 4.8+ under
the condition that you have completed a minimum of 50 classes and 75% of
students who had a class with you should have filled the feedback form.
p. Incentive for new sale
● PKR 700 per student for each new student conversion in a month
q. Incentive for upsell/renewal
● PKR 800 per student for each renewal/upsell of the month
r. PKR 2360 extra incentive for those who get 5 or more conversions in a given month.
s. PKR 2360 extra incentive for those who get 3 or more upsell in a given month.

B. Minimum Guarantee:
a. Minimum guarantee (MG) pay for 120+ hours in a month
i. For 1 month MG - PKR 19000
ii. For 2 month MG - PKR 26000
iii. From 3 month onwards MG - 33000
b. Minimum guarantee (MG) pay for 150+ hours in a month
i. For 1 month MG - PKR 28000
ii. For 2 month MG - PKR 35500
iii. From 3 month onwards MG - 44500
c. For 175 availabilities
i. For 1 month MG - PKR 30500
ii. For 2 month MG - PKR 37500
iii. From 3 month onwards MG - 47000
d. For 200 availabilities
i. For 1 month MG - PKR 37500
ii. For 2 month MG - PKR 40000
iii. From 3 month onwards MG - 50000
e. No minimum guarantee (MG) pay if availability is less than 120 hours in the month.
f. MG policy will only be applicable for teachers who got at least 1 conversion in the
given month (90% of teachers are able to get this.)

Vacation, availability, class cancellation and no-show policy

a. The teacher needs to plan their next month's availability by the 20th of the previous
month and lock their calendars accordingly.
b. After the 20th of the month, teachers are still free to remove or add availability for
the upcoming month, but it cannot be changed if a class is booked. They can only be
cancelled in emergencies, with the following rules to be taken into consideration:
i. Teachers can make 3 informed cancellations of trial and course classes in a
month, given that it is informed 72 hrs in advance.
ii. Teachers can make 3 emergency cancellations of trial and course classes in a
month by giving at least 2-hour notice (though they should use it very
sparingly)
iii. Change in class schedule from the teacher's end, either prepone or
postpone, is also considered cancellations.
iv. If a cancellation is made not satisfying the above rules, then the company
will charge a penalty of PKR 700 per class.
c. Teachers are entitled to 16 leaves besides 1 weekly off and 3 national holidays in a
year, namely:
i. Pakistan Day
ii. Independence Day
iii. Quaid e Azam Day

But, you have the option to work on these days as well. 16 leaves are allotted in a
year, considering January to December. These leaves will be allotted on a pro-rata
basis depending on the joining month.

d. To utilise leaves from the 16 yearly leaves in any given month, a teacher needs to
apply for it by the 20th of the previous month.
e. If a teacher takes more than 16 leaves in a year, will charge a penalty of PKR 2360 for
those days on which a class is scheduled.
f. PKR 2360 will be deducted for No-Show (Teacher does not join the class, without
informing the RM and Student) and 1 warning.
g. The teacher can add available slots to the calendar at any time.
h. If a teacher is disconnected for any reason during a live session, a penalty of PKR 700
will be imposed as it affects the student experience.
i. PKR 2360 will be deducted if any class is hampered and incomplete after the class
start time because of the teacher. Teachers are requested to have WIFI and
electricity backup if these resources are not reliable at their end.

Miscellaneous notes:

If a class is not recorded or feedback for the class is not submitted on time, the payout for that class
will not be released

Payment will be done by the 5th working day (of the bank) of next month based on the earnings
calculated as per the payout structure mentioned in the agreement or as defined from time to time.
