INFINITIVES AND ING FORMS

INFINITIVES

An infinitive is the base form of a verb, often preceded by the word "TO." Infinitives can function as nouns, adjectives, or adverbs in a
sentence.
TO + INFINITIVE
After adj , after some verbs and to Express purpose

FOR EXAMPLE
- It is difficult to explain.. - He needs to study. - I want to the store to buy milk..

ING FORM

The " -ING" form of a verb can function as a gerund or a present participle.

Gerunds

Gerunds are verbs that function as nouns. They can be the subject, object, or complement in a sentence.

VERB + ING

As (part of) the subject of a sentence , after prepositioin and in time phrases

FOR EXAMPLE
- Running is good for health. - She is excelent in cook. - Asfter comening we'll clean the house

FOR EXAMPLE
He stopped to smoke (Sigara içmek için durdu.)
He stopped smoking (Sigara içmeyi bıraktı.)
Sense vern (look at / see / watch / notice / observe /hear / like /listen to / hate /feel / taste / smell adc)
