C. PRESENTATION OF THE LESSON

Our previous activity has something to do with our topic
for today. Now our topic for today is all about Physical
Activity.
D. LESSON PROPER
Physical activity is defined as any voluntary bodily
movement produced by skeletal muscles that requires energy
expenditure. Physical activity encompasses all activities, at
any intensity performed during any time of day or night.

Now I have a question for you class, Is watching television -For me, yes ma’am because it
bad for your health? Anyone from the class? does not perform any movement
that can cause such disease.

You got it right, watching television to much makes you fat.

Children who watched two or more hours of television daily
had higher blood cholesterol than those who watched less
than two hours. A high cholesterol level is a step towards
heart disease.

There are many benefits that you can gain from being active
in physical activities. Being physically active can improve
your brain health, help manage weight, reduce the risk of
disease, strengthen bones and muscles and improve your
ability to do everyday activities.

There are safety rules in exercise;

1. Wear comfortable clothing and shoes during exercise.
2. Do some warm-up activities before exercise.
3. Observe the weather when you play or exercise outdoors.
4. Notice the temperature. On hot days, drink enough water
during exercise. In cold weather wear warm clothes that can
put on or taken off easily.
5. Avoid doing exercise in wet or dark places so you will not
have an accident.
6. If you are very tired or sick, do not force yourself to do
vigorous exercise.
7. Stop exercise and tell your parents or teachers at once if
you feel pain, fatigue, dizziness, nausea, or serious breathing
difficulty.
8. Don’t try to showoff, or you may have an accident or may
get hurt.

How can I find time for daily exercise?
