points on the upper right of your assignment paper as your score.
Then pass it on your front.”

C. Review of past lesson

“This time, let’s have a short recap about the lessons that we
have tackled yesterday, and yesterday we discuss about the
Operating System and its examples and classifications. Isn’t?” Yes Ma’am.

“Again, what is Operating System?” Ma’am! An Operating System (OS) is an

interface between a computer user and computer
“CORRECT! The Operating system is a piece of system hardware
software that serves a bridge between software and hardware. It
is the only way to communicate with hardware.”

“Did you still remember the examples of Operating system?

Then, what are those?” Yes, Ma’am.

let’s give yourself a big round of applause. Thank you so much
for the energetic participation.”

“Based on our activity, can you now guess what will be our topic
for today?” Ma’am! Our topic for today is all about the
process of computer?
“Very Good. Your answer is very related to our topic for today.
But I want you to give me a specified answer. Anyone?” Ma’am. Our topic for today is about HOW
COMPUTER WORKS.
“Excellent.! Give your classmate a clap and dance by singing the
song “MY NAME IS”. Everybody’s clapping and dancing.
Please Everybody’s stand!
My name is Chicky!
Chicky, chicky. Chicky
My name is Cha – cha!
Clap, clap cha-cha-cha
In 1 to 3 GO!

“VERY GOOD! HAHAHA. You may now take your seat.”

‘As a student. Have you experienced being upset for not

finishing your task because you lack one part of computer such
as keyboard, hard drive, CPU or monitor?” Yes, Ma’am!

“If yes, can you share it to our class?”

Student share his/her experienced.
“Thank you for sharing your experienced. Class, if one day,
you’ve experienced the same problem with Miss bel. Don’t
hesitate to ask guidance from someone you know that he/she can
help you because nowadays, there’s a lot of solution out there.
The only thing you need to do is to ask and learn. Understood?”
Yes, Ma’am. Thank you po.
“Now, let’s move on to our lesson’s objective.”

(The teacher is presenting her slide)

E. LESSON PROPER

“Our topic for today is all about HOW COMPUTER WORKS.

Anyways, this is just only a continuation of our topic yesterday
which is the Operating system.”

4 FUNCTIONS OF A COMPUTER

INPUT- an input device lets you communicate with a computer.

You can use input devices to enter information and issue
commands.
For examples:

Keyboard- most used input device. Known as typewriter.

“How can you say that keyboard is an example of Input Student will share his/her insights
devices?”

Mouse- is a small handheld input device that controls a

computer screen’s cursor or pointer in conjunction with the way
it is moved on a flat surface.

“How can you say that Mouse is an example of Input student will share his/her insights
devices?”

Scanner- is an input device that scans documents such as

photographs and pages of text. When a document is scanned, it
is converted into a digital format.
‘How can you say that scanner is an example of Input
devices?” student will share his/her insights
PROCESSING – The Central Processing Unit (CPU) is the
main chip in a computer. The CPU processes instructions,
performs calculations, and manages the flow of information
through a computer system.

PURPOSE OF THE CPU

-The CPU is the most active part of a PC, performing

calculations and manipulating data at speeds up to billions of
operations per second. The CPU runs your favorite applications,
such as media players, word processors and Web browsers, first
loading them from the hard drive into memory, then executing
the instructions that make up the software. Without a properly
functioning CPU, the computer cannot get data from the hard
drive, display information on the screen or run any programs.

What do you think will happen if there is no CPU on the

computer? student will share his/her insights

5 Reasons Why a Computer Will Not Start Without a CPU.

1.The computer cannot boot up without a CPU

-this is because the BIOS, or basic input/output system, which is
responsible for starting up your computer and loading the
operating system, is located on the motherboard and it needs the
CPU to function.

2. The computer cannot access any of its data without a CPU

-this is because the CPU is responsible for controlling and
communicating with all other components in the system.

3. The computer cannot load any software or applications

without a CPU.
-this is because the operating system, which runs your programs
and applications, needs information from the CPU in order to
function properly.

4. The computer cannot generate any video or audio without

a CPU
-this is because the CPU is responsible for processing all of the
information that goes into making these things work – including
images, sounds, and videos.
5. The computer cannot connect to the internet without a
CPU
-this is because the CPU is responsible for handling all of the
communication between your computer and the various servers
that make up the internet.

STORAGE- a storage device holds information. The computer

uses information stored on these devices to perform task.

Hard disk SSD

Flash drive DVD

student will share his/her insights

How can you say that all of these examples of storage are
very important in holding information’s?

OUTPUT DEVICES- an output device lets a computer

communicate with you. These devices display information on a
screen, create printed copies or generate sound.

Printer Monitor

Loudspeaker Projector

“Can you explain what is output device? And as a future

educator, how it contributes to the different learning styles
of the students? (Visual, auditory, Reading and Writing,
and kinesthetic)”
Ma’am. Knowing the 4 functions of computer is
“Okay Class, in your own idea, why is it important for you to very important for it help us to be more
study the four functions of computer?” knowledgeable and skilled when it comes in
troubleshooting of our computer.

Students are clapping a rainbow clap.

‘Excellent! Give your classmate a rainbow clap.”
BASIC TROUBLESHOOTING OF COMPUTER

-Consult Google
-Reboot Interactive random answers from the class.
-Check Connections
-Look for program updates
-Close Background tasks
-Clean up your Hard drive
-Run an antivirus program.

(Each meaning WILL be presented through slides during class

discussion.)
