The major important things in hotel business are accommodation, F&B and entertainment.

In
KPH, it can be said that accommodation is not bad. But the parking lot is not enough for hotel
guests. Therefore, the people who like the entertainment programs at Members Club are facing
the parking lot problems.

Another one is about Air-conditioning system. In 5 Star Hotels, the air conditioning system must
be chealer type to satisfy hotel guests and tourists. Last a few months ago, the air conditioning
system of KPH, chealer, got damage and top management decided not to equip a new chealer
type and change to aircon type. There were many complaints from tour companies and hotel
guests about that aircon type. Moreover, the housekeeping service is also important. There would
be no problem if the hotel has own laundry service. Losing and damage problems might occur
with other laundry services.

Concerning with FO, there are some problems when the FO staffs didn’t take care of much about
morning calls and wakeup calls.

Interior design is also important. In KPH, there is a beautiful garden but the maintenance system
is really bad. There were many complaints about problems with birds in the garden.

In F&B, there are two sections, production and service. When dealing with tourists, there can be
language problems. European guests don’t like it when the menu list is not in the correct order.
E.g, slad, soup, main dish, desert. The important thing here is the skill and knowledge of waiter
and waitress.
There are also 2 sections in production; bakery & kitchen. They must be on time. For example, if
room service promised the hotel guests to deliver the food in 15 mins, they are not supposed to
be late even it is 5 mins late. Moreover, the tastes and food quality must be constant.

For entertainment, saloon, spa, swimming pool and fitness center must be well established so
that hotel guests don’t need to go out. If the prices are too expensive, they will go to other places.
There is also a “Yar Ma Zat” at KPH restaurant.

next one is about function, seminer, meeting and banquet stuffs. When making contract with
client companies, there shouldn’t be over promises. They will not come again if they are not
satisfied.
