clear line must be drawn through the answer you do not want to be assessed.
6. Rough work – Do this in your examination answer book and clearly indicate that it is not part of
your answer by drawing a line though the rough work after you have answered the question.

subject according to Kruger et al.

Your client wants to dispute paternity. Advice your client accordingly regarding
the various relevant factors in paternity disputes.

Critically discuss the legal effects of adoption.

Question 4 [10]
Children with HIV may be tested under certain circumstances. Discuss the
circumstances as well as the process to be followed.

Does an infant have any legal status? Critically discuss in an essay.

Advise your client, who was declared insolvent by the court, what legal capacity he/she
possesses.

Question 7 [10]
A client needs advice on succession rights. The client was told by an attorney that he
cannot inherit from his parents who died recently, as he was born while his parents
were unmarried. The same attorney told him that his brother and sister can inherit, for
they were born during the marriage of his parents. Advise your client accordingly.

Question 8 [10]
Your client wants to claim maintenance. She was involved in an unregistered
Muslim marriage. Advise accordingly.

According to Kruger et al., minority is terminated in certain circumstances.
Explain.

Differentiate between the three types of curators that can be appointed by court
for persons declared mentally ill by court.
