Naming & Writing Ionic Formulas

Part 1:
Procedure:
1. Click the link for digital dice.
https://www.teacherled.com/iresources/tools/dice/

2. In the menu at the top of the website choose to use the pink
and blue dice so they match the dice key below..
3. Roll the dice and using the key below record the cation (+ ion) and the anion (- ion) in the data table.
4. Write the correct chemical formula for the ionic compound. Keep in mind the ratio of ions within the
formula. Use this symbol website ( https://symbolsalad.com/ )for subscripts and superscripts.
5. Name the chemical compound. Be sure to use roman numerals when more than one possible charge
exists for the cation.
6. Repeat so that you have created 10 different chemical formulas.
7. An example has been completed for you.
