MAURITIUS – AFRICA SCHOLARSHIP SCHEME 2024 EDITION

Applications are invited from suitably qualified Ugandan Scholars to pursue studies at Masters and
Undergraduate levels in Universities in Mauritius 2024/2025 Academic Year.

Undergraduate Level
1. BSc in Agricultural Science and Technology 03
2. BSc in Civil Engineering 02
3. Bachelor of Medicine (MD) 02
Masters Level
1. Public Health 02
2. Artificial Intelligence 02
3. Civil Engineering 04

Eligibility
1. Applicants must have an admission for a full-time on campus program at a Public University in Mauritius
or a receipt of payment of the application fee from their choice of University in Mauritius.
2. Applicants for undergraduate should be above 18 years and should not have reached their 26th birthday
by 01 January 2025.
3. Applicants for undergraduate must have a minimum of 2 Principal passes at “C” in the essential subjects.
4. Applicants for Masters should not have reached 40 years by 01 January 2025.
5. Applicants for Masters must have:
a) Minimum CGPA of 3.60 in the relevant field.
b) at least two years of working experience in the relevant field.
6. Those admitted on Government Scholarships/ Sponsorship should not apply.

Procedure of Application:
1. Applicants should first apply for admission for a full-time on campus program at a Public University in
Mauritius to obtain an admission letter or evidence of payment of the application fee (Receipt)
2. Applicants must download, fill and submit the completed Mauritius-Africa Scholarship Application
Form with certified copies of; Birth Certificate, Relevant educational certificates and transcripts;
Medical certificate signed and stamped by a registered medical practitioner and copy of passport biodata

To reach not later than Friday 15th March 2024. The Shortlist will be displayed on the Ministry of
Education and Sports Website: www.education.go.ug and on Notice Boards at Embassy House and Legacy
Towers on Friday 22nd March 2024
