Teaching steps

1. Greeting and introduction (3 minutes)
- The teacher greets the students and briefly introduces today's class content.
- Question: "Do you like to hear interesting stories? Today we are going to listen to some
interesting stories."

1. Story 1: Midway Tactics (7 minutes)
- Display page 2 of the PPT and tell the story.
- Question: "Why did the middle store owner choose such a slogan? What do you think of this
approach?"
- Students discuss and answer.

2. Story 2: Very Pleased to Meet You (7 minutes)


- Display page 3 of the PPT and tell the story.
- Question: "Why is the conversation between Joan and Matron so interesting? What do you
think of their reactions?"

3. Story 3: Present for Girlfriend (7 minutes)


- Display page 4 of the PPT and tell the story.
- Question: "Why did this boy choose to engrave words like this? What do you think of his
approach?"
- Students discuss and answer.

4. Story 4: Be Careful What You Wish For (7 minutes)


- Show page 5 of the PPT and tell the story.
- Ask: "Why is the ending of this story interesting? What did you learn from it?"
- Students discuss and answer.
5. Story 5: Napoleon Was Ill (7 minutes)
- Display page 6 of the PPT and tell the story.
- Question: "Why did Jack's father say they didn't know Napoleon was sick? What's so
interesting about this excuse?"
