Message from Fr. Maiki
Peace be with you!
In our Gospel passage this Sunday, Jesus emphasizes the importance of unity in the pursuit of God's will.
Confronted by accusations and misunderstandings from the crowd, religious leaders, and even His own family,
Jesus clarifies that true kinship transcends biological ties. He says, "Whoever does the will of God is my brother and
sister and mother" (Mark 3:35). This profound statement redefines family, focusing on spiritual rather than physical
connections. By our baptism, we are all part of the family of God.

Today, Jesus' message is particularly relevant in our fragmented world. Unity, as Jesus teaches, is not merely about
being together but about being united in purpose—specifically, in our commitment to God's will. This unity
transforms us into a close-knit family, bound not by blood but by shared faith and mission. Such a family supports,
nurtures, and strengthens each member, fostering an environment where God's love and grace can flourish.

In our daily lives, we are called to embody this unity. We must strive to overcome divisions, whether they arise from
misunderstandings, prejudices, or conflicts, and instead, work together towards our common goal: to live out and
spread the love and teachings of Christ. By doing so, we become a living testament to the power of unity in faith,
reflecting the very essence of God's kingdom here on earth.

Wishing you a Blessed Week!

Please join us for the Eucharistic Revival as we try to strengthen our faith in the Eucharist, who IS Jesus!

There is still time to participate. Your

contribution helps the diocese fund vital
programs and ministries that serve those in need across
southeastern Massachusetts, one person and one family at a time.
Your contribution makes a difference – it can help a child who
needs food, a youth who is discovering the value of his or her
faith, an unwed mother struggling to cope, housing for the
homeless, a man discerning a calling to the priesthood,
and much more.
