Many people argue that single-sex education is better for students than coeducation and others think
that learning along with boys and girls have more knowledge and skills. This essay will discuss both
the argument and I, in favor of the first thought.
There are two main reasons why people agree that single-sex schools are better. Firstly in some
countries, single-sex education should be implemented so as to respect the cultural norms or religious
requirements of that particular country. The second benefit is a more relaxed environment. Boys and
girls in single-sex education don't have to worry about impressing the other gender. Thus, they can
focus better during tutorials and stay clear of unnecessary misconduct.
Besides, due to the co-education system, students may get attracted towards the opposite sex. This
may lead to less concentration in classes or Less focus on Study. If a boy has an infatuation on a girl
or they will be in a relationship and something goes wrong, this can affect the studies of these
students. Studies show that students in single sex schools are able to perform better in academics as
opposed to coed students because they are not conscious about themselves and are less distracted.
In conclusion, some believe that unisex education institutions are far better than coeducation while
others think that the opposite viewpoint. In my opinion, I, firmly support the latters' view as it has
more advantages than the former one's perspective.
