PCHS MEMO TO STUDENTS FINAL

Year-end Examinations: May & June 2024

1. Students will not be admitted later than 30 minutes after the listed start time. No exam will be extended for late
students. Time late is time lost.

2. The only reasons accepted for missing an exam are:


● Medical illness with note from a MEDICAL professional.
● Death in the immediate family.
● Court appearance.

The school administration reserves the right to request further information regarding absences.

3. Optional student tutorials may be offered for those who wish to review/ study before their exam.

4. In between exams, students are not permitted to loiter in the halls. Students may work quietly in the library or in the
cafeteria. Cycle 2 students may also leave campus.

Cycle 1 students must remain on campus for the entire day. Parents may provide the office a note in advance to
give their child permission to leave campus after an exam, for the remainder of the day. Please note, when students
leave, they cannot re-enter the building or loiter on school property. Parents must also make alternate
transportation arrangements for their child.

5. Students must remain in exams for the first 1 ½ hours. Thereafter, with teacher permission, they may leave. Students
are encouraged to bring a novel to read in the event they finish early.

6. All students are required to sign the exam attendance sheet at the beginning of the exam.

7. Students are to leave books, bags, jackets, cell phones, etc. at the front of the classroom. Students will not have
access to their lockers during this exam period. All lockers will be emptied by June 7.

8. Any student cheating or communicating with another student during an exam will be given an automatic “0” for that
exam. Borrowing is not permitted during an exam.

9. Electronic devices are strictly prohibited during exams:


● Students are forbidden from having any electronic device in their possession during exams.
● This includes but is not limited to, cell phones, smart watches, ear phones.
● Violation of this rule results in immediate removal from the exam and an exam grade of “0” .

10. If due to an unforeseen event, the school is closed for an exam day, the exams will be rescheduled.

11. Cafeteria:
● Regular caf service will be available until June 7.
● The caf will remain open with a reduced menu June 10-11.
● The caf will be closed as of June 12. As of this date, students should bring lunch and snacks.

12. School Bussing:


● Regular school bus services will continue until June 14.
● June 17- 20 buses will offer morning services only. Students will have to make alternate transportation
arrangements on those afternoons.

13. Final report cards will be available on Mozaïk on June 28, 2024.
