3.0 Company Background
Berrylicious Sdn. Bhd. operates as a juice shop in Malaysia. IEAN Sdn. Bhd. newly
founded Berrylicious, this juice shop was first established on 10 September 2018. It has
started to initial operations by hiring a total of 6 local workers. This juice shop operates daily
except on Fridays. The Berrylicious was located at Batu Pahat, Johor. The objective of
Berrylicious is to serve people. Currently, this main branch in Batu Pahat, Johor has a total
of 25 staff. Each staff member has their scope of work. Another branch is located at Pasir
Gudang, Johor. Starting the operation with only 15 staff, this branch was still in the early
stages of development. Berrylicious is a cozy juice shop with a beautiful interior and fresh
fruit smell. It has 10 tables for customers and a waiting area.
This juice shop introduces smoothies and ice blended. Most customers choose to
drink from various fruits such as tropical fruit. Berrylicious had ready refreshments for the
customers due to this. In addition, the price of drinks is not expensive and very affordable.
This juice shop shows a positive development day by day. People are aware of its existence
and the service provided by the juice shop. This is because people nowadays are attracted
to try something new and trendy. Due to the variety of services and increasing number of
customers, the company needs to record all the information regarding suppliers and
customer order details. Thus, the company needs to develop advanced systems to make all
operations go smoothly.

The objectives of this company are to serve a good service for all the
customers and staffs in order to increase our sales in nearby area. Besides, The Berrylicious
want to maintain a balanced control of cost and operation during expansion. The
Berrylicious would like to create a systematic database that would make it easier to store the
information so that it could not be redundant.

4.0 Current System Description
Berrylicious are known local juice shop that receive lots of customers every day. The
company current system is such as old fashion way of keeping customer data. We use
paper to receive and collect data from customers. Then, all the papers full of data will be
keep in files and the staff will put the files in the files room. Our data files are categorised by
customer name, customer phone number, customer service option, customer table number,
and customer order. When customer or the leader of the Berrylicious request to find a certain
data, our staff need to check the files and papers thoroughly one by one to find the data.

5.0 Problem Statement
Staff are facing problems when they to find certain information about customers and their
orders because all the data are saved manually in papers. The staff need to read and
checks all the papers thoroughly one by one to find the data that they want.
The staff always loss the customers data because every data is kept in hard copy. The
current system at Berrylicious is still in physical forms that are using papers and files to store
data. The data are always at risk of being lost.
In the current system, Berrylicious use hard copy file method that causing the staff frequently
losing data. Therefore, the database that will be create are to keep all the customers data
without to worry about losing data.
The database can help the staffs to find and retrieve certain data in easy and quicker way
without taking a long time.
After creating the database, data consistency will be improved because all the data appear
in a table. This will ease the process of updating each data which can used by all the staffs.

7.0 Initial Proposed System Business Rules
1. Each customer may choose one or more services, each service can be chosen by
one or more customer.
2. Each customer may sit on one or more tables, each table can be sit by one or
more customer.
3. Each customer can purchase one or more invoice, each invoice must be
purchased by one customer only.
4. Each customer may purchase one or more juice, each juice can be purchased by
one or more customer.
5. Each invoice can be generated by only one staff, each staff can generate one or
more invoice.
