Things have changed
My grandmother complains about how things have changed ,and she says that life used to be better. Families
aren’t families the way they used to be. Everyone’s divorced .If a husband and his wife are having problems
with their marriage ,they don’t stay together anymore .And mothers used to stay home and take care of their
children, but not anymore. Everyone’s working .No one has time for children anymore .And the cars ! no one
walks anymore ,everybody drives . we used to walk five miles to school every day, even under the rain . And
in the school , the children don’t have to think anymore .In math class, for example , we used to add subtract ,
multiply and divide using our heads. Kids don’t use their heads anymore : they use calculator .Computers
have taken control over our lives also… people don’t seat around a tree at night to tell stories anymore. their
prefer watching T.V…. Life used to be simple ,but it isn’t anymore.
