Executive Summary

ANNIE GLOBAL is a small family piggery farm located in


Calabar, Cross River that sells Pork and pig. Aniefiok Edet has
raised pig for over the last four years have gotten the experience
needed to rear pig.

The Aniefiok Edet and family has been operating the farm on a
part-time basis with the help of two workers and is prepared to
take the farm to the next level. The family has all the necessary
skills, dedication, and experience to do well in the business, but
lacks the necessary capital to take the next set-in building and
running a successful pick farm.

Therefore, ANNIE GLOBAL is seeking N8,000,000 in grant funding


to purchase pigs, land, and equipment as well provide for initial
start-up capital for operations and building costs.

Products

ANNIE GLOBAL sells pork and pig. The pigs are sold to both
individuals with most of the piglets going to auction to pigmen
who put them on a feed lot until they are big enough to be sold to
the market. The pigs are usually sold at during peak period to
generate a good income. There are very few people in the
Calabar that have pig, so if they want a piglet the farm will sell
them what they need at a price per pound basis that is like the
going rate at the auction.

The Objectives of ANNIE GLOBAL:

 Operate the farm on company owned land


 Build the farm up to 250-500 head of pig by 2023
 Purchase all necessary equipment to operate pig farm.
 Obtain eight million naira grant to invest in building
desired pig ranch
 Reach profits that allow the whole family to work for the
company full-time
 and make sufficient incomes

Mission

The mission of ANNIE GLOBAL is to own a pig farm that hires


within the community. The company’s goal is to raise, breed, and
sell top quality pig, while teaching others how to tend and take
care of them.

Keys to Success

The keys to success for ANNIE GLOBAL are:

 Healthy pig that has all their shots, enough food, and clean
water
 A good pork markets
 Weather conditions
 Low production costs

ANNIE GLOBAL is currently a small pig operation with an
estimated 10 piglets and pigs. The farm sells piglets to individuals
and at the pig auction. The company is completely operated by
the Aniefiok Edet which entails checking, feeding, giving shots,
weaning, tagging, banding, and paperwork.

ANNIE GLOBAL is looking to significantly increase the farm to 500


piglets and 500 pigs over the next five years. The farm is looking
for grant funding to initiate expansion of the farm through
investment in land, pig, equipment, and operation costs.

Company Ownership

ANNIE GLOBAL is a private owned sole proprietorship. The


current owners, Aniefiok Edet, is planning to put the business in a
limited liability structure shortly after receiving grant funding.
Aniefiok Edet don’t anticipate adding any additional ownership in
the future outside of their son.

Company History

ANNIE GLOBAL is heading into its fourth year of operation. The


farm began to purchase pig and equipment significantly in 2007
and 2009 to put the business in position to grow. Both of Aniefiok
Edet families had piglets and pigs when they were growing up
and they decided to continue a family tradition. ANNIE GLOBAL is
now looking to turn the corner and make the farm a full-time
operation.

Future of the Company

Everyone must feed to stay alive, but most individuals value pig

products above other type meat. Although, pig business is highly
competitive, we believe that there is a place for high-quality,
attractive, healthy and affordable pig.

Growth strategy

To grow the company, ANNIE GLOBAL will be doing the


following:

 Network with event managers, Office managers, and


business owners to create awareness and business
relationship.
 Establish a company website that contains engaging
multimedia content about our services.
 As business grows, we will advertise in publications, our
website, and the social media to reach our target audience.

 ANNIE GLOBAL will seize to opportunity of word of the


mouth marketing approach wherever, whenever necessary.

Communicate with the Customer

ANNIE GLOBAL will communicate with its customers by:

 Meeting with local buyers within targeted market.


 Using social media such as Twitter, YouTube, Facebook,
LinkedIn, and WhatsApp.
 Providing contact information on the company business
card.

How to sell

Currently, the only person in charge of sales for ANNIE GLOBAL is


the business manager, Aniefiok Edet. As profit increase, ANNIE
GLOBAL will look to add an employee to assist with account
management coordination. This individual will also provide
company social media and online marketing support. The
company will increase awareness to our targeted customers
through online advertising, proactive public relations campaigns,
and training. ANNIE GLOBAL is a member of Small And Medium
Enterprises Development Agency of Nigeria (SMEDAN).
