TO: All Owners/Operators of Bell Helicopters

SUBJECT: TEMPERATURE INDICATOR “TEMP-PLATE” SEALER,

INTRODUCTION OF

This Information Letter is issued to introduce a Bell Helicopter approved alternate

to Devcon 2-Ton epoxy (C-298) for sealing temperature indicating “Temp-Plates”.
Araldite 2026 polyurethane adhesive is a transparent two part system that cures
at room temperature and provides additional environmental resistance.

Araldite 2026 (C-575) can be used for the sealing of temperature indicating
“Temp-Plates” on all applicable helicopter models. The application method for
this product is identical to that of the Devcon 2-Ton epoxy. Refer to the
applicable helicopter manual for “Temp-Plate” installation procedures.

The consumable materials list in the Bell Helicopter Standard Practices Manual
(BHT-ALL-SPM) and applicable model manuals will be updated to reflect the
introduction of Araldite 2026 in a future revision.

Araldite 2026 is available through your Bell Helicopter Textron Supply Center in
50 ml cartridges under part number “ARALDITE 2026”.
