Instruction:
Using a timeline graph make a summary of the American Colonization.

•Disunity among Filipinos:


•On September 6, 1900, Aguinaldo fled to different places here in the Philippines and he
was finally captured by the American led by Brig. Gen. Frederick Funston through a trick
planned reinforcement on March 23, 1901. He was brought to Manila and kept a prisoner
1900 at Malacanang where he was treated by Gen. Mac Arthur more as a guest than as a
prisoner.

•Francis B. Harisson
•He is appointed as the US governor-general to Phil. by President Woodrow Wilson when
he won as President in America in 1912 and he is also the longest-tenured governor-
general of the Philippines.
•Jones law signed by US President Wilson on August 29, 1916 and known as the Phil.
1910 Automoty Act which was sponsored by US Rep. William Atkinson Jones at Virginia.
•On October 3, 1916 the elections were held for the new legislative and Sergio Osmena
was elected speaker and Manuel Quezon became the Senate President.

•By 1921, there were 614 American and 13, 240 Filipinos and in the local governments, all
were occupied by Filipinos.
•In 1925, founded by Alejandro Roces Sr. which became one of the most popular English
1920 language in the Philippines.

•During 1939
•Commercial air transportation has began 1935.
1930 •Radio was finally introduce.

•General Douglas MacArthur wades ashore on Layte in 1944, two years after Japan had
defeated American and Philippine force.
