Department/Team Description
Operational Excellence and Project Management in Medical Affairs (MA), Oncology SBU is a global
function which partners and collaborates with the MA Teams and Key Stakeholders (internal and
external) to assist in achieving short and long term strategic goals while adhering to “LIFE” values
(leadership, integrity, flexibility, efficiency).

Position Summary
The Contract Medical Coordinator assists for compliant and high quality management of advisory boards
and thought-leader interactions, and other meeting planning related activities such as meeting budgets,
scheduling, contracting & tracking. The Medical Coordinator will also assist with assigned projects for
Expanded Access Program (EAP) and RWE (real world evidence) programs such as non-interventional
studies.

Major tasks and responsibilities of position


• Collaborate with Bayer internal meeting convention staff and/or external meeting vendors on meeting
logistic planning
• Assist with sending and managing meeting invites for advisory boards, steering committees and one-
on-one thought-leader interactions
• Ability to maintain and manage multiple meeting trackers for advisory boards, steering committee and
one-on-one meetings with thought-leaders
• Ability to record and maintain special requests/requirements for advisory boards, steering committee
and one-on-one thought-leader meetings in a systemic and organized fashion
• Ability to learn Bayer’s contract management process and effectively work with internal Contract
Management Department to ensure all contracts are executed timely and are in compliant
• Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and able to prioritize
• Assist operationally to ensure all deliverables are met according to timelines, quality standards and
good operational procedures/SOPs

Education Requirement(s):
• High school degree required
• Bachelor’s degree (life science) preferred

Skill & Competency Requirements


• Clinical research associate/clinical operations experience in academia or pharmaceutical industry
• Meeting logistic planning experience
• Highly detailed-oriented; strong written, computer (e.g. Excel) and communication skills
• Excellent organization and planning skills
• High degree of responsibility and accountability

Preferences
• Basic project management, excellent interpersonal skills and ability to work in a global environment
