IV. Individual work: your plan to apply to your dream job (based on your
research in II & III 300-500 words/student

Thanh:
Ever since I was a high school student, I had imagined that I would become
a dynamic and creative Marketing staff.
To achieve that dream, I tried a lot to get a scholarship to FPT University with
a major in Digital Marketing. Because this is my dream major, I did a lot of
research before entering. First, I improved my English ability because I know
that in modern times, English is an important part of the world. Indispensable
if you do not want to keep up with the trend yourself. At FPT University, I
studied all major subjects in English, so my vocabulary and ability to listen,
speak, read and write also increased significantly. My goal before graduation
is to try to get IELTS 6.5. In addition, I also tried to learn Japanese since high
school and got an N2 certificate, in order to develop myself further, I hope
that I can study Japanese in parallel with English so that I can achieve this
goal. The highest certificate in Japanese is N1. Besides, studying in a
modern and dynamic environment like FPT, I feel that my ability has
developed more in terms of teamwork, and presentation ability as well as
improving the soft skills that I have developed. still weak. Although I am still
shy in front of a crowd because I am quite an introvert, I hope that with FPT's
teaching program, I will soon be more confident to speak in front of people.
In the 3rd year, when I have to take part in the OJT internship, I want to work
in a big corporation like NS BlueScope VN or Golden Gate Restaurant
because I thought I would have the opportunity to promote the abilities that I
have learned at FPT University. Although I know that just having theoretical
knowledge will not be enough to work in a business, I will try to adapt to the
new environment because I know that I am only a 3rd-year student, so going
to work is not enough. I'm sure there will be many new things that I will
encounter.
With the knowledge of Digital Marketing that I learned at FPT University, I
believe that it will partly help me to do the job that I have always dreamed of.

Nhi:
It was a year ago when I applied for enrolling at FPT University, my first
choice of major was not Digital Marketing. I chose International Business
instead of my current major. Luckily, I got time during the TRS601 course to
think carefully about the career that I really wanted to pursue. After that, I
changed to Digital Marketing as my major right now. The reason is just
simply that I usually purchase goods and services from the e-commerce
websites like Shopee and Lazada. And I never feel disappointed with what I
buy online. This is because I know what I am looking for on those websites,
by considering the level of need for that product, the feedback from previous
customers, etc. Besides, when I search for the term “Digital Marketing’s Job
Characteristics” on the Internet, I found out that I am still lacking some of the
qualities to work in this field such as the logical thinking that is needed to
build an appropriate strategy and solutions for each situation, and the quick
adaptability. However, I decided to challenge myself with this major at FPT
University, in order to improve those skills which I believe will be helpful for
my future job. At the moment, my plan for the next few years to prepare for
getting a job in my major are to improve my English skills, logical thinking,
the ability to adapt to dynamic environments, public speaking, and
accumulate useful knowledge needed for the job. I chose Meghan Farren,
KFC's chief marketing officer, as a role model in the Marketing field because
she got many excellent achievements that I really admire and can learn from
her. She’s been working in KFC for quite a long time and she has the ability
to adapt to the dynamic environment when everything keeps changing
continuously. And from that, she builds and applies new strategies to change
KFC's business from a long-standing company into a modern, relevant, and
distinctive brand that still exists today. By learning from Meghan Farren and
other successful marketers, I can prepare myself for the internship coming
next year as well as my future career, and hopefully, I can have an
opportunity to work at one of the two companies named NS BlueScope
Vietnam or Golden Gate Restaurant.

A few years ago when I enrolled at FPT University with a career-oriented
information technology industry. After trying to learn programming languages
first at the centers, I realized that my self and personality were not suitable
for this type of work and that was why I switched to international business.
The choice of international business studies, because I want to have many
opportunities to work in the economic field as I can be an international
economic consultant, marketing specialist, logistics, advice on international
trade and investment promotion.… But I myself realized that I was really
strong on the marketing array and the international economist. Because my
speaking talent can be called very flexible, it is easy to convince others with
my inherent knowledge. In the future, I am oriented to favor the international
expert's array because I would like to read about economics. I Like to
capture today's economic markets. As for marketing, I think you can still
guarantee it, but because the current major is you according to international
business. So when eternity is in this industry, you need to hone more
expertise on it. In parallel, I also want to learn more middle language and
hope to get it by HSK3 as soon as possible, and at the same time an early
IELTS certificate of about 7.0 to serve the job not only domestically but also
abroad. And the company I want to apply for is the Golden Gate company
and as you say in the direction of an economic market research specialist.
The choice of this company is because I like the way to get employees here
as well as their working style because the three of you have done it here too,
so I partly know the text very well here. And that is my foolish orientation.
In conclusion, with my knowledge learned at FPT university, I believe that I
can get my reward in the future and I will contribute to my company in the
future.
