Rationale
It is very insolent for people with low limb differences or low amputees to go to another place
especially when there's no transportation you can ride on. That's why we came up with
researching customized trikes. This research is vital for lower limb differences because they can't
travel from one place to another.
Mobility and transportation issues take on greater significance if you are an amputee (especially
lower limb). (Meyer and Meyer Sport, 2016) That is why it is very vital for amputees since they
can go outdoors, explore nature, and simply appreciate being alive. Also, cycling should be an
integral daily activity as it enables them to be more independent and confident individuals. Hand
cyclists get cardiovascular and aerobics benefits similar to those of other cyclists.
The accident happens in the province of Negros Occidental, occurring in many places, such as
motorcycle accidents, falls, and fractures. Most of the problems in every accident were
lower-limb problems, such as pain in the lower limbs, lumbar pain, and falls. Furthermore,
people who have lower limb problems have no time to go outside or exercise themselves to
prevent muscle pain. On the other hand, people who have lower limbs suffer a lot from muscle
pain. In regards to that, the main problem for patients who encounter lower limb differences is
that they have no chance to explore around them. (Mark Gil and Yogendra, 2020)
In conclusion, a customized trike also needs some criteria: lightweight, climbing agility, and the
user's specific needs. If it doesn't meet the criteria, it'll be hard for the user to use it. Our study
aims to help amputees enjoy their lives, travel, and be efficient.

Materials
Methods
The customized tri-cycle is a vehicle for people who have extremity or low limb differences.
This vehicle consists of small steel pipes, flat bar, bike frame, wheels, chain, sprocket and
tarpaulin. To use this vehicle, a person must ride on a seat and use his/her hands to pedal to
move the tri-cycle. There’s a hand break near the driver’s seat if it wants to stop the vehicle.
The tri-cycle can travel long distances and it’s easier for the person with extremity to maneuver.
Furthermore, there’s an adjustable seat in case the user has problems with his/her distance to the
pedals.
Expected Output
In summary, our project seeks to empower people with lower limb differences by offering a
dependable, innovative, and user-friendly mobility solution. One of our objectives is to improve
their general well-being and have a positive influence on their lives.
They may travel freely and comfortably with our technology, encouraging an active and healthy
lifestyle. We have made accessibility for everybody a priority by giving convenience and ease of
control top priority. Through the integration of intelligent technology, ergonomic design, and
cutting-edge safety systems, we provide a smooth and delightful experience.
