The term SABIC or SES shall mean the project Owner (United) or UES or their authorized representative.
In Section 2 - References
All direct buried cable shall have an overall lead sheath, an overall covering of galvanized steel wire armor
over the lead sheath, and an overall outer polyvinyl chloride (PVC) jacket.
Flexible cord requirements are the same as those for flexible cords in Class I, Div 1, hazardous locations.
Underground wiring shall be installed in rigid metal conduit, or direct buried, or in nonmetallic conduit if
enclosed in reinforced concrete or in rigid metal conduit if enclosed in non-reinforced concrete.
Underground installations shall be in accordance with UES 00-E-0038 and –0039.
Armored cable may be direct buried in areas not subject to vehicular traffic. Underground installations
shall be in accordance with UES 00-E-0038 and –0039.
In Section 10.7 – Class II, Division 1, and Class III, Division 1 Hazardous Locations
Replace all Type G with “Class II, Div. 1 and Class III, Div. 1, hazardous locations”.
All the wiring methods indicated are the permitted wiring systems.
