I. Nội dung kiến thức ôn tập
Nội dung, kiến thức của kỳ thi chọn học sinh giỏi cấp tỉnh môn tiếng
Anh cấp THCS được lựa chọn trong chương trình tiếng Anh THCS từ lớp 6
đến lớp 9:
- Yêu cầu về kiến thức ngôn ngữ: HS nắm vững kiến thức các chủ điểm
ngữ pháp như các thì trong chương trình tiếng Anh THCS, các hình thức của
động từ, các loại câu, mệnh đề, cấu trúc, liên từ, giới từ, mạo từ, danh từ, tính
từ, trạng từ, các cặp từ nối...
- Yêu cầu về kiến thức chủ điểm, từ vựng: Bám sát chương trình tiếng
Anh cấp THCS theo từng khối lớp.
- Yêu cầu về kỹ năng: kỹ năng giao tiếp, kỹ năng Đọc, Viết, Nghe.
II. Cấu trúc đề thi, các dạng bài gợi ý
Phần 1. Trắc nghiệm (40 điểm)
- Listening (15 points)
- Choose the best answer to complete the sentences: Language functions,
grammar and vocabulary. (15-17 points)
- Reading: mark the letter A, B, C or D to indicate the correct answer to the
questions. (8-10 points)
Phần 2. Tự luận (60 điểm)
- Lexico-grammar: (15-20 points)
+ Give the correct tense or form of the verbs in brackets.
+ Give the correct form of the given words.
+ Find and correct mistakes.

- Reading: (15-20 points)
+ Fill in each numbered space with ONE appropriate word.
+ Choose from the list the best sentence to fill in each of the spaces.
+ Choose the most suitable heading for each paragraph.
+ In which section are the statements mentioned.
+ Decide whether the statements are true (T), false (F) or not given (NG).
