Installing the Cypress AAD

The following instructions show how to install a CYPRES in a PGS 9-310 reserve container. It is important that the rigger or authorized personnel
also have the latest copy of the CYPRES version. Also, the rigger should have a CYPRES riggers kit containing useful tools when installing the
CYPRES.

NOTE:
It is only allowed to use the original CYPRES locking loop.

Step 1…..

To prepared the closing loop follow the steps in accordance with Sketch 1. Length of the closing loop must at 170 mm +/- 5 mm measured from the
washer stretched by cca. 15 kg. Use the supplied discs/washers and tie the locking loop using the CYPRES knot, as shown. Than install the
locking loop in the container.

Step 2…

Install the CYPRES unit in the spandex pocket located at the divider wall on the bottom of the reserve container. Make sure the CYPRES unit is
installed with the cables facing the divider wall as shown.

Step 3…

Route the CYPRES cutter unit through the grommet and then through the spandex channel on the inside of the right reserve side flap. Push the
cutter through the elastic keeper next to grommet and align cutter hole with grommet.
Step 4…

Coil the excess cutter and control unit cable under the Velcro closure flap located on the right end of the CYPRES pocket. DO NOT bend or kink
the excess cable.

Step 5…

Carefully push the control unit through the channel on the bottom of the reserve container up to the top. Then route the control unit through the cut
on the top of the reserve container. Secure cable using super tack and a rigging knot, be careful not to damage the control unit cable.

Step6…

Gently slide the CYPRES control unit through the opening located under the reserve top flap and into the slit opening for clear pocket.

Double check that control button, display and red light are visible through the pocket. Pull the slack of the control cable back into the pack tray.
