BASIC TECHNIQUES
Cluster stitch:
3x (1 yo + draw through). There are 7 loops on the hook. FINISHING OFF
Draw through all loops. Sew the handle onto the cosmetic pad and weave in all
ends with a tapestry needle.
Crochet 3 double crochet together (dc3tog):
Yarn over once and insert hook in the next stitch of the
previous row. There are 3 loops on the hook. ABBREVIATIONS
Yarn over and draw through the first two loops. There are sc = single crochet(s)
now just 2 loops on the hook. slst = slip stitch(s)
1 yo again, insert hook in same insertion point, draw ch = chain(s)
through. st(s) = stitch(es)
Draw the yarn through the first two loops again. There are rnd(s) = round(s)
3 loops on the hook. dc = double crochet(s)
1 yo again, insert hook in same insertion point, draw through
and pull the working thread through the first two loops.
There are 4 loops on the hook.
Finally draw through and pull through all 4 loops.

Magic ring
INSTRUCTIONS
Rnd 1: Work 8 sc in magic ring. Close rnd with 1 sl st in the
1st sc = 8 st.
Rnd 2: Ch 1 (does not count as a st), then double each sc
with 2 clusters. Close rnd with 1 sl st in the first cluster =
16 st.
Rnd 3: Ch 3 and dc2tog, ch 1.
