Greetings to all the visionaries, change-makers, and passionate individuals who have gathered here

today, united by a shared desire to make a positive impact on the world. Thank you for joining me
here as we embark on a journey of exploration, learning, and growth. Together, we will uncover new
perspectives, challenge the status quo, and forge a path towards a brighter future.

Good morning, my name is Anwesha Ray. Excuse me if I say something wrong but I should mention
that I am not really a speaker but more like a writer. Let’s start with the story of my first time here
visiting. It’s almost 2 years ago. That day I really came here to just observe my sister since she was
getting her admission. I had planned to not speak anything. Later on when everything was discussed,
Kantha sir told me a line and I am not going to share it but I should mention it was really one of the
best compliments I’ve ever got throughout my life. I’ve always admired passion and that day he saw
the fire in my eyes and complimented me about it. I don’t know if anyone has observed that in me,
but he did and mentioned it even. I think from that day only I was destined to come here. And just
because we’re talking about destiny, while I was thinking about the introduction ceremony one night,
a few lines came into my mind and I think they were also destined to be spoken here.

“As she was falling into the darkness

A sweet stroke of fingers brushed her fingertips

The soft crunching of bones sounded beneath her

A shrill scream reached her ears

But alas she remains calm in her darkness.

The caress of a father’s rough hands

The graze of a mother’s love

The glance of a lover’s eyes

Bloomed in her heart a posy of lilies

A flutter of wings stirred her heart.

The softest tune of her granma’s favourite song

The swiftest movement of the ballerina

The buzzing crowd of her hometown

Buried her feet deep in the ground

Gravity didn’t hold her but the love she had savoured.

The end came down at her with open arms

But she no longer remained in the dark

Claiming the lands of her fathers’

She soared the sky with endurance

For she finally knew what loving and being loved felt like. “

Since this is an introduction ceremony, a few things to know about me:

 I'm a paradox.
 I want to be happy, but I think of things that made me sad.
 I'm lazy, yet I'm ambitious.
 I don't like myself, but I love the kind of person I am.
 I say I don't care, but deep down I actually don't care :P (Exceptions exist)
 I crave attention at times, but reject it when it comes my way.
 I love imagining things but a real practical in life.
 I'm a conflicted contradiction.

All in all I'm just another Weirdo but I like that. And favourite hobbies you may know, novels and
movies are my life. And ofcourse writing poems and I have several halfway written novels. I want to
be a doctor but my passion will always be writing for it’s the only way I can express.
