Graduation Eligibility
 80 credits complete or “guaranteed” complete by May 19th
 AVS Courses complete to 80% by May 19th
 All fees paid

Dry Grad: May 19th

Grand March: June 18th

• Saturday, June 18, 2022
• Arrive at Yale 2:15
• Grand March in the large gym
• Arrive in style to a red-carpet welcome
• Photo ops
• All unsafe driving will lead to loss of prom privileges for both grad and guest

Prom: June 18th

• Saturday, June 18, 2022
• Hyatt Regency, Vancouver
• Busses load by 3:45; return to Yale by midnight
• All grads and guests on busses to and from venue
• No one permitted on busses under influence/suspicion of being under influence
• Tickets $170 on SchoolCashOnline; available April 22

Prom Guests: Due May 9th

• Prom Guest requests available April 22 in office- due May 9 to Mrs. Webster (office)

• Table sign up May 9 and 10 in foyer at lunch: groups of 10.

Convocation: June 16th

 Abbotsford Centre
  Thursday, June 16 *starts at 5:00 pm*
 To participate, all fees must be paid, student in good standing for graduation
 Grads to arrive by 4:15pm; Doors open for guests at 4:00 pm
 Free parking available at UFV
 Livestreamed for those who cannot make it
 Cap and Gown to be distributed week before ceremony
 All grads receive 2 free tickets, additional tickets $5 on SchoolCashOnline- tickets
available April 22
 Mr. Caron will distribute tix May 30- June 15 during lunch

Stage Crossing Quote: Due May 9th

 Read out loud to everyone in attendance at the arena as you cross the stage during
convocation! This can be a quote, a thank you, or sharing plans for the future
 This is a formal occasion: language choice should be appropriate, do not use acronyms
 Keep it short and sweet- about 25 words. All quotes will be approved by admin
 Examples:
o Jaimie would like to thank her mom and dad for all their support over the years.
o "A journey of a thousand miles begins with a single step." Congratulations grads of
2022.
o Rob is off to study Calculus at UBC next year and wishes all the best to his friends.
 Link to submit stage crossing quote will be available on Grad Google Classroom April 22
 Grads who do not submit a quote will have one submitted for them

Final Valedictorian Vote

 Final Vote open April 22 until 6 pm
 Yale grads can access the ballot on Grad Google Classroom
 Must sign in with learn34 account

Eligibility
 All graduation events are a privilege, not a right
 Students must demonstrate a solid, consistent commitment to the Yale Code of Conduct

Final Word…
There is a possibility that convocation will need a last-minute change in venue and date, depending on
the Abbotsford Canuck Playoff timeline and location. We will keep all grads and their families as up to
date as we are able as soon as we are able.
