SIP Attainment and Documentation Guidelines

Students at Parul University can secure their Summer Internship Project (SIP) through
the Training & Placement (T&P) Department, faculty referrals, or independently.
Regardless of how the SIP is obtained, certain procedures and documentation are
required to standardize the internship experience and ensure its educational value.
General Schedule:
Start Date: The Summer Internship Project (SIP) can begin immediately following the
conclusion of the Semester II end-term examinations. (1st week of June 2024)
Completion Date: All SIP activities must be completed before the commencement of
regular classes for Semester III. (15th July 2024 : Tentative date of commencement of Sem
III)
Documentation Requirements:
1. Offer Letter: A joining or offer letter is mandatory and must be submitted before
starting the internship along with formal application in case joining before 1week of
June 2024.
2. Duration: The standard SIP duration is 40-45 days. Extensions must be approved by
the MFT and Placement Head in advance.
3. Mode of Work: Physical presence is generally required. However, work from home or
online internships are permitted for internship roles in Digital Marketing, Information
Technology Management, Business Analytics, or other tech-intensive projects.
4. Required Submissions:
• SIP offer or commencement letter.
• Details of the reporting person: Name, Designation, Official Email ID, Contact
Number, Company/Branch/Work Address.
• Attendance certificate for 40-45 days, payment proof for paid internships, or
an email confirmation from HR.

• SIP completion certificate on company letterhead, in hard


copy.
