ASSIGNMENT

With the help of a method present a research plan on any topic.

I have chosen to investigate the impact of diet on mental health. And I’ve used
survey and intervention to conduct the research. Here is the research plan for
same.

Title: Investigating the Impact of Diet on Mental Health: A Multifaceted

Awareness Campaign

Step 1. Participants
Target diverse demographic groups, including different age ranges, genders,
socioeconomic backgrounds, and cultural affiliations.

Step 2. Research Design:

a. Implement a pre-post intervention design.
b. Administer pre-campaign surveys to assess baseline awareness and dietary
habits.
c. Execute a multifaceted awareness campaign.
d. Administer post-campaign surveys to measure changes in awareness and
behavioural intentions.
After selecting the target audience for the study I will conduct a survey to gather
the baseline data towards the subject of the study and people’s behaviour and
attitude towards it.
Now that I have baseline data, a pre-intervention survey will be conducted and
later on intervention will be used to disseminate the information about the same.
Various channels can be used for intervention such as videos, articles,
infographics and social media platforms.

Step 4. Intervention:
a. Develop informative content highlighting the link between diet and mental
health (videos, articles, infographics).
b. Collaborate with health professionals, dietitians, and mental health experts
for credible information.
c. Utilize various platforms (social media, websites, community events) for
campaign dissemination.

Step 5. Measurement:
a. Quantitative data: Surveys to assess awareness levels, dietary habits, and
intentions to adopt healthier diets.
b. Qualitative data: Conduct interviews or focus groups to gain deeper insights
into participants' perceptions and experiences.

Step 6. Data Analysis:

a. Use statistical analyses (e.g., t-tests, ANOVA) to compare pre- and post-
campaign data.
b. Employ qualitative analysis methods (thematic analysis) for insights
gathered from interviews or focus groups.
