NOTE: Before starting the NMD 100 mount bracket upgrade, perform proper shutdown procedures and discon-
nect the power to the unit.

1. Open the cabinet door and pull the NMD 100 forward.

2. Disconnect the power cable.

3. Cut the Ty Wrap and disconnect the 2 cables on the side of the NMD 100.

4. Carefully remove the cables through the hole as shown.

5. Remove the cables from the cable clamp.

6. Grasp the NMD 100 by the handles and remove it from the unit by lifting it off the slide rails. It is recom-
mended to use 2 people to lift the NMD 100.

7. Remove the handles and brackets, by removing the 3 screws holding them in place, Repeat for the other side.
If the screws are torx head, use the torx head screwdriver. If the screws are allen head, use the allen head wrench
screwdriver.

NOTE: If the NMD 100 is a 2 high skip to step 18. If the NMD 100 is a 3 high then the bottom extension will
need to be removed. If the NMD 100 is a 4 high then the bottom 2 extensions will need to be removed. Fol-
low steps 8 through 17 for 3 high NMD 100’s

8. Disconnect the power cable and the data cable. Remove both cables. Retain the cables for step 17.

9. Remove the screws holding the bottom extension in place. 1 on each side. Retain the screws for step 16.

10. Remove the cassettes from the NMD 100. Lay the NMD 100 on a table with the cassette side down as shown
and open the covers by squeezing the tabs on the sides. Start with the top one.

11. Remove the belt from the pulley on the bottom extension.

12. Remove the extension by gently pulling out on the 2 tabs, 1 on each side, and pulling it straight up.

13. Install the handle mount brackets as shown. One on each side.

14. Reinstall the extension by sliding it in place. Make sure the extension is behind the handle mount bracket as
shown. Slide the extension all the way down until it snaps into place.

15. Reinstall the belt removed in step 11. Close the covers by lowering them until they snap into place. Start with
the bottom cover.

16. Turn the NMD 100 upright and reinstall the screws removed in step 9.

17. Route the power cable and data cable as shown. Reconnect the cables. Put the cassettes back in the NMD 100.
Skip to step 19.

18. For the 2 high NMD 100’s, install the handle mount bracket as shown.

19. Place the handle and the new mech mount bracket together as shown.

20. Attach the mech mount bracket to the NMD 100 with 6 screws. Repeat for the other side.

21. Reinstall the NMD 100 in the unit and route the cables as shown. Reconnect the cables and ty wrap them to
the NMD 100.

22. Slide the NMD 100 back into the cabinet and close the cabinet door.

23. Power up the machine and run a transaction to test the unit.
