Check-list- SETUP LASER-VIDEO-FX_Costa Smeralda + Toscana

1. Transport the following Cases with you to deck 19 close to the area:
i. n° 3 laser Cases ( will contain 2 lasers and 2 rain cover each)
ii. n° 1 Case Loom ( laser loom + 2 smoke+bubble loom + Broadcast loom +
SDI Vpj loom)
iii. n° 2 kit Smoke + bubbles
iv. n° 1 Rack show player
v. n° 1 Cable 63A 5meters
vi. n° 13 cable cross Black Yellow
vii. n° 3 Videoprojectors Cases
viii. n° 1 Rack Mediaserver
2. Position the Show Player Rack and Mediaserver Rack close as possible to the “Bar
Orizzonte Deck 18 Starboard Side, max 4 meter between the 63A wall mount socket
3. Check that all the switches on the powerbox show player are OFF from the front panel
4. Connect 63 A cable From the powerbox show player to the cruise wall socket 63A
5. Arm Interlock 63A from ship wall socket
6. Arm the MAIN SWITCH on the powerbox of the show player
7. Check correct voltages with multimeter on board V must be minimum 380V and max
420V
8. Connect the 5 meters Loom Mediaserver - Show Player as described below
a. OUT ART-NET VIDEO > IN ART-NET VIDEO
b. OUT LTC VIDEO > IN LTC VIDEO
c. POWER MEDIASERVER > POWER MEDIASERVER
i. NOTE: in case of fault cables, you will find 2 spare cable on the same loom
9. Remove the covers of the videoprojectors.
10. Store the covers at “Bar Orizzonte” (the children from the SQUOK CLUB remind us to pay
attention to the wind on cruise)
11. Open the doors and store it on the top of the cases
12. Focus the 3 projectors in position as your reference picture:
a. VPJ 1 CX “ will cover the main center area “
b. VPJ 2 SX “ will cover the port side Antenna”
c. VPJ 3 DX “ will cover the starboard side Antenna”
13. ATTENTION: Is mandatory to hang the safety rings to the pipes of the handrails
14. Plug the power loom with 3 True1 25mt (POWER VPJ) to the Rittal Box on deck 16
15. Plug the other side to the 3 Videoprojectors by respecting the labels
16. Check if the power is coming to the Vpjs by watching the LED
a. Vpjs Antenna (external one) → GREEN LED → The current is present
b. Vpj CX → RED LED → The current is present
17. Plug the SDI VPJ loom with 4 sdi from the Projectors to the Mediaserver Rack
a. OUT VPJ 1 CX > OUT VPJ 1 CX
b. OUT VPJ 2 ANTENNA SX > OUT VPJ 2 ANTENNA SX
c. OUT VPJ 3 ANTENNA DX > OUT VPJ 3 ANTENNA DX
d. OUT VPJ SPARE > will be used only if only one other is fault
18. Use the remote control (inside the drawer of the Mediaserver rack) to switch on the VPJ
19. When the VPJs are ON you will see emit BLUE LIGHT
20. BREAK TIME : feel free to drink at least 200ml of natural water and a cigarette
21. STARTUP MEDIASERVER RACK PROCEDURE
22. Power ON the switch 23 from the Powerbox 63A
23. Power ON the UPS of the mediaserver rack ( ID 1 ) By hold down the button (1.1) for 2 s
 24. Power ON the MAC PRO by pressing the button (2.1) and check if the side led is on
25. Pull Out the MONITOR ( 4 ) , that will help you to check the correct startup of the sys
26. Push IN the MONITOR ( 4 ) after checking that Resolume is correctly automatically
opened
27. Connect the BROADCAST LOOM 50 meters with 3 xlr and 2 SDI between the 2 racks
and the Rittal Cruise Box on deck 17 as described below:
a. SDI Ledwall Broadcast → To rack mediaserver
b. SDI Ledwall Spare → In case of the fault of Ledwall Broadcast cable
c. LTC luci → To back of rack show player (Yellow)
d. AUDIO PA RIGHT → To back of rack show player (Blue)
e. AUDIO PA LEFT → To back of rack show player (Blue)
28. Use on the rittal box on deck 17 the designated ports by COSTA
29. Open the audio signal routing (costa) from the rittal box QSYS
30. Open the video signal routing (costa) from mediaserver to ledwall deck 16
31. START SETUP LASERS AND SFX
32. Open the laser cases
33. Insert laser safety keys and set them to ON position
34. ATTENTION! Remember to remove the keys before closing the case, otherwise they will break!
35. Remove lasers from the cases and put it on a stable surface.
36. Open the two safety shutters for the lasers by releasing a bit the screw on the front part
37. ATTENTION! Remember to close the shutters before storing them back in the case, otherwise
they will break!
38. ATTENTION! Do not touch the glass, and do not try to clean the glass with a generic tissue.
39. Mount the rain covers and fix the side strip.
40. Screw the 4 screws of the rain covers onto each laser ( do not touch the glass on the front!)
41. ATTENTION! The lasers must be moved by using always 2 tech for each lasers. take care please!
42. Position the 6 lasers on deck 19 over the “Bar Orizzonte” as close as possible to the handrail glass
43. Port side Laser —> ID 1
44. Starboard side Laser —> ID 6
45. Lasers must be placed on the ground on the markers
46. Secure the safety ropes between the bracket and the pipe of the handrails
47. Pass the laser loom cable, Make sure that the green label “side rack show player is placed down
to the rack area.
48. Secure the blue belt to the Handrail
49. Start cabling all the connector to the 6 lasers on deck 19
50. Position the two smoke bubble kits under the two stairs on the side of “Bar Orizzonte”
51. Secure the two smoke bubble kits to the underside of the stairs with 2 straps each
52. Plug the smoke cable (dmx + true1) to the outlet ports of the bubble machines
53. Left port side bubble smoke kit need to have the loom 20 meters, plug dmx + true1
54. Right starboard side bubble smoke kit need to have the loom 30 meters, plug dmx + true1
55. Plug the 3 looms to the show player ( Laser Loom + Smokebubble left + Smokebubble right )
56. CALL HOUSE KEEPING DEPT FOR THE FOLLOWING BARRERS:
a. VPJ areas need to be closed
b. Rack show player area need to be closed
c. Bubble smoke left area need to be closed at 1.5 mt front distance
d. Bubble smoke right area need to be closed at 1.5 mt front distance
57. BREAK TIME : feel free to drink at least 200ml of natural water and a cigarette
