EXPLORING THE IMPACT OF HANDS-ON EXPERIENCE IN A WORK

ENVIRONMENT AMONG GRADE 12 STUDENTS AT NEXT GENERATION

TECHNOLOGICAL COLLEGE, SAN SIMON

Work immersion in the Philippines is a key subject under the Senior High School (SHS)

curriculum. It is designed to expose students to the workplace and allow them to apply the

competencies they have acquired from their specialization and applied subjects (Scispace, 2024).

The main purpose of this research is to determine the Impact of Hands-on Experience in a Work

environment for Grade 12 students at Next Generation Technological College, San Simon. The

importance of this study is for us to know what is the effect of work immersion on grade 12

students

So far, We can find common themes and patterns that emerge from the experiences of a diverse

group of Grade 12 students by analyzing the data that was gathered from them. With this

research design, we hope to get additional insight into the benefits and challenges of giving

Grade 12 students real-world experience in a corporate environment. This is the procedure in

which we analyzed and gathered data, for our data gathering procedures we have 6 steps to ask

first permission from the principal and to evaluate the data.

This chapter includes the participants which are organized into 13 categories, namely: (1) Skills,

(2) Leadership Skills, (3) Manual Skills, (4) Gain Knowledge and (5). These challenges included
difficulties in work habits such as unstable internet connection, noise distraction at home, time

management, and difficulty in answering learning tasks. Immersion in the workplace may

provide students with sufficient job experience for their future careers. According to the findings,

students believe that practical experience boosts their self-esteem and helps them get ready for

their future careers. The counterargument, on the other hand, is that job immersion benefits their

readiness and confidence more than their career. Some students believe that the abilities they

have acquired will not be valuable or applicable to their intended career path.
