New Creation 4
New Creation 4
“This is the day that the Lord has made, let us rejoice and be glad in it!”
Apostle Paul makes an exciting revelation of what God wants to do for each one of us in
2Corinthians 5:17. He says, “If anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation, the old has gone and the
new has come.”
In Galatians 6:15, Apostle Paul returns to the same theme by saying something very far reaching
when he says,
“Neither circumcision nor uncircumcision means anything; what counts is a new creation.”
Which means that religious ceremonies, denominations, legalism, our good works-Nothing will help!
All these don’t matter!! The only thing that matters is that you have become a new creation!
This emphatic revelation draws an explicit analogy to God’s original creation of man which
happened through Lord Yeshua when God created man with His own hands in His own image and
likeness and breathed His Spirit into him to make him a living soul.(Genesis 2:7)
God also gave man His authority to rule over planet earth (Genesis1:28)
Man lived in the purity and holiness of God enjoying the presence and glory of God till he turned
away from God in disobedience and rebellion and thus
Having gone astray( Isaiah 53:6), bearing anger, rage, malice, slander, lying, and having filthy
language (Colossians 3 :8) characterised by immorality, impurity, lust, evil desires, greed.(Colossians
3:5), God’s holy standards barred man from seeing, entering or inheriting the Kingdom of God
(Galatians 5:20) the only destination being the fires of Hell.
But ,God in His great mercy and love, sent His only Son to the world that whosoever believed in Him
would not perish but have eternal life. John 3:16
The God who dwelt in unapproachable light, took on flesh and blood to redeem mankind.
He was pierced for our transgressions and crushed for our iniquities, the punishment that brought us
peace was upon Him. By one sacrifice He made perfect forever those who are being made holy
(Hebrew 10:14, Isaiah 53:5)
God cancelled the written code with its regulations by nailing it to the cross and having disarmed the
powers and authorities of darkness, he made a public spectacle of them, triumphing over them by
the cross. (Colossians 2:12-15)
God seated us with him in the heavenly realms in Christ Jesus. (Ephesians 2:1-7)
PUT OFF THE OLD SELF AND PUT ON THE NEW SELF.
Ephesians 4:22-24 explains that the old man corrupted by its deceitful desires has to be consciously
PUT OFF and the new man created to be like God in true righteousness and holiness has to be PUT
ON.
When Christ appears we also will appear with Him in glory (Colossians3:4)
To rule and reign with Christ in the millennium.
From being born again, the New Creation till he reaches the Holiness and Glory of God has a journey
to undertake. This first step being dying to the self. Enroute the journey the new creation faces
battles against the rulers, authorities, powers of the dark world and against the spiritual forces of
evil in the heavenly realms and Lord expects us to emerge as overcomers as the Lord counsels the 7
churches in the book of Revelation.
Loves the Lord God with all his heart, soul, strength and mind (Luke10:27)
Loves his neighbour as himself (Luke10 :27)
Fructifies in the fruit of the Spirit (Galatians 5:22,23)
Hearer and doer of the Word
Life of continuous repentance.
Perseveres under trial (Hebrews 10:36)
One collective new man composed of Jew and Gentile together who operates though a
collective corporate body.(Ephesians2:14)
As we are a unique generation living at the end of this dispensation, the new creation has
the privilege of being carriers of God’s glory. Haggai 2:7 ,Joel 2:28 .
Advances the Kingdom of God by force.
Prepares the way for the second coming of Lord Yeshua.
TO SUMMARIZE
The finished work on the cross has given the new creation the citizenship of heaven in whose
authority and fullness he can live here on earth itself till his assigned work is over.
God has strengthened the new creation in the inner man by the power of His Spirit.
The sinlessness and righteousness of Lord Yeshua has been credited to the new creation as God has
conformed him into the image of His Son.
God’s standards of purity and holiness are an eternal constant. So its imperative that the new
creation who carries the mystery of Christ in him as the hope of glory understands the gravity of the
price paid for him which was nothing but the blood of Lord Yeshua. So inspite of any circumstance
he should strive for the sanctification in spirit, soul and body to attain the holiness and glory of his
Creator.
