Which
professions use
CAD Software?
Engineering disciplines across all industries use CAD software.
Architects
Design and draft with CAD tools that
are specific for architects, where they
can take their design ideas from
conceptual design to construction
documentation.

Building Engineers
Building information modelling (BIM)
help structural engineers, detailers,
and fabricators improve structural
documentation, minimize errors, and
streamline collaboration across
teams to accelerate fabrication.
Civil Engineers
CAD software offers BIM for
enhanced civil engineering design
and construction documentation. Civil
engineers can use intelligent,
connected workflows to help enhance
predictability and productivity.

Construction
Professionals
They can use CAD software to
digitize construction sites, and
connect project information from
design to construction and handover.
Mechanical Engineers
CAD software enables mechanical
engineers to produce professional-
grade designs, simulation, and
manufacturing solutions with
improved workflows, performance,
and collaboration.

Electrical Engineers
Electrical engineers can now design
and document electrical control
systems with CAD tools and software.
Automated common design tasks and
facilitated drafting productivity is
possible with CAD.
One of the oldest and most used CAD software for 2D /
3D drafting & design. It has the ability to create blueprints,
equipment layouts, section planes and model
documentation.

Layout Tabs
This gives access to different Model Spaces of each layout in any
given document.

LEFT CLICK
Makes it to the current open layout.

RIGHT CLICK
Gives access to more options, including Print, Move, or Rename.

This is a palette in which users can input command names. When
docked, it has some fixed number of visible lines. When floating, the
command line can expand to show more data.
